I made the mistake of trying to come here for the first time on a day when snow still covered the ground. The sidewalks between Bethesda metro station and here were deceptively clear— at least for those in f us walking without mobility aids who can get by with narrow paths. But of course no one had cleared the walking paths at this park. This is not a criticism, just a statement of fact. I can understand that a park wouldn’t be a priority in path clearing after snow fall. It’s a lesson to myself to return when the snow has melted away. It does seem to be a significantly bigger park than the others I’ve checked near here. It probably very much worth the trip when I come back. Read moreI don't love the idea of dog parks, but I have a Service Dog (9 years old) and her successor (5 months old). I don't drive so I have to live near a Metro, and the only thing I can afford here is a studio. It will be nice to have a place to throw a ball for them. As is, they spend up to 17 hours crated, 4-5 days a week. Can't live without them, so it will be nice to have a place we can go to get real off-duty exercise. They're not so interested in other dogs, they just need to...
