I love the DC location! It's one of my top places in DC and I can't wait for the Bethesda location to open! I definitely plan to be here opening weekend!
Update: I was lucky enough to have been able to come here for lunch during the grand opening and had an amazing experience. Since then I have been back many times and every time is just as great as the last. Everyone there is so nice and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. The servers and bartenders are very knowledgeable about the menu and they are accommodating with any dietary restrictions you may have. I will say that their server Martina really stands out. Everytime she serves me she goes above and beyond to make my experience memorable so definitely ask for her to be your server if you get the chance! I have tried different things from their menus for lunch, happy hour, and dinner (happy hour is only available at the bar from 4-7pm) and I have loved everything I have tried so far. I always start off with a ceviche as my appetizer. So far I tried the Mixto and the Callejero and although I love both of them I have to say that the Callejero is definitely my favorite of the two. The sauce has a nice tang and spice to it and there's a good amount of seafood in there so you could easily fill up on just the ceviche by itself. I have also tried a few of the other appetizers like the empanadas and the Yuca A La Huancaina which were both very good but so far my favorite appetizer is the Anticucho De Pollo. It comes with three pieces of grilled chicken marinated with a tangy spicy sauce on top of pieces of potato with a side of chocolate and a green sauce on the side that kind of reminds me of a chimichurri sauce. You can taste the char of the grill on the chicken which I love and the marinade is spicy but not overly hot. The chicken is tender, juicy, and very flavorful. The potato is cooked perfectly and pairs so well with both of the sauces. I'm not really a fan of the chocolate but that's just a personal preference thing. As far as the entreés are concerned I have tried two so far. I tried the Arroz Con Mariscos and the Pescado A Lo Macho and both were very good. The Arroz Con Mariscos is a seafood and rice dish that I would say is like a paella. The flavor was mild but still good and you can tell that the seafood is fresh. The Pescado A Lo Macho is a lightly battered and seasoned crispy fish with seafood, a spicy creamy sauce, and white rice. I liked this entree better because of the spice and flavor of the sauce and seafood which had some heat and the fish had a nice salty flavor. There are so many other things on the menu that I want to try and I am so happy that there is now a location near me that I can go to more often. It's located a block or two away in walking distance from the Bethesda Metro station (which is conveniently located right below the Hyatt Regency Hotel) so if you take public transportation it's easy to get to and there are also parking garages nearby if you are driving in. If you haven't had a chance to try this place yet I highly recommend that you do. This is now one of my top 10 favorite restaurants...
Read moreThe place is nicely decorated, other than that I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Our Colombian waiter was trying to upsell since the beginning, not a good service at all & was pushing us to get the brunch package for $35 per person, he said the three of us had to do the brunch, I didn’t want to do that & just wanted to get Regular ceviche, my two friends did the $35 menu, & I ordered the Traditional Ceviche which was about $25, well then waiter kept trying to upsell me another kind of ceviche that included different seafood instead of only fish, which is what I wanted, when I said no, he wasn’t happy, so then he offered me if I wanted to get another kind of of fish, of course because that fish would be more expensive, and when I asked him how much, he wouldn’t even know what the more expensive price was. It was only like 11:30 AM closer to noon on a Saturday, and that was the first meal of the day for me, and he was insistent I get alcohol, which I didn’t want to do that at all. He brought us the check & he preselected in the portable card terminal his tip to give him 30%, of course I didn’t accept that and I changed it to 20% tip and he was upset. I always tip generously, but I am the one to decide if you provided a good service enough for me to give you more than the 20%, the waiter shouldn’t select that for the client. Another inconvenience is parking at that location in Bethesda is terrible as the restaurant is in a corner, so you have to park at least a block away, and walk to the restaurant. I would certainly recommend you to skip this place and go somewhere else where they are not trying to upsell you and treat you better, and the service they provide is also better. To make matters worse I told him I didn’t want my ceviche to be spicy, and he brought it so spicy I couldn’t eat it, I had to talk to the manager to get another one, and she offered to bring me a plain one with zero spice on it, and of course, no flavor. Not a good experience at all. The only good thing was the company of my two...
Read moreI came in on 4/12/25 with my friend and had a great time at Pisco Y Nazca. Such a great time I cancelled my reservation at a different restaurant to celebrate my anniversary with my fiancé on 4/17/25. It was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant, I understand the bar staff was busy but we were only talked to ONCE the entire time we sat at the bar. We came with intentions to dine in but wanted to start at the bar till the happy hour rush died down. The bar tender staff took our drink & appetizer order and then never talked to us again. We had to ask for menus, had to ask for happy hour menus , had to ask for silverware after our appetizers arrived, and had to ask for a spoon for my ceviche. When we asked for the check the bar tender staff who took our order said he had already clocked out and would find someone else to get our check. We waited for 15 mins, when we asked a different bar tender who said they would ask the other bar tender to get our check. We were still ignored & eventually asked a passing waiter who gave us attitude and said he had nothing to do with the bar staff. Eventually a bar tender gave us the check & when given the card to pay he said wait & walked away to attend the entire bar and never came back. We waited another 15 mins, I got very upset and emotional since this was my anniversary date & I chose to change location, a day I will forever remember. After being continuously ignored we asked a different waiter who was kind enough to quickly check us out. We of course didn’t want to dine in anymore and went to a different near by restaurant for our anniversary. Such a shame to have had a terrible experience from a Peruvian restaurant because I talked so well about you guys after my Saturday experience. I’m from Peru which made the restaurant stand out...
