Mountain Room Escapes — Attraction in Big Bear City

This escape room broke us. In the best way.

We laughed. We screamed. I wept like a Victorian widow. And through it all, Dimitri — our game master, our emotional support cryptid — stood by us with the serenity of someone who has seen THINGS.

He let us be fully unhinged. Someone tried interpretive dance as a form of puzzle-solving. Another spoke only in riddles. I cried (loudly), and no one was ejected. Dimitri didn’t just allow it — he cheered us on. Like a proud dad at a haunted talent show.

His hints? Impeccable. Subtle. Timely. Almost... too timely. We’re 87.3% sure he lives in the walls, whispering clues into the vents and watching our descent into beautiful madness with fond amusement.

If you want puzzles, chaos, emotional release, and a game master who will let your weird flag fly at full mast — request Dimitri. You’ll leave changed. Possibly demented....

We thought the set up and concept was pretty lazy and lame. Almost all the time was spent trying to do an actual puzzle within the escape room. We spent the whole time in one room. It was just little to no effort in the method of escaping. There’s not anything else to figure out really...it was just dull.

This place is probably a bigger deal in big bear where there’s nothing else going on. But if you’ve been to a real escape then this one will be a huge disappointment. The dude running it was a bit condescending as well....

This place is Awesome!!! Went on a Saturday afternoon, they were ready for my appointment in... THE CABIN 😨😲, right when we walked in. Regis, the girl that welcomed us and instructed us, was amazing! Very enthusiastic, fun, and thorough when explaining the rules. They let us check out the virtual reality for little extra charge..they didn't have enough change and let us do it free!! 🤗 Overall, a really great experience and definitely plan on...
