If I could give 0, I would. I typically refrain from writing negative reviews, but this time, I feel compelled not only to write but also to consult with my lawyer. As a boxing journalist, I believe it's important to share my recent experience here. Yesterday, on December 31, my 5-year-old son and I decided to enjoy a tubing . We patiently waited in a seemingly endless line for almost an hour. After completing a waiver at machine and having a tag attached to my shoes, we proceeded to the ticket office to purchase our tickets. Upon reaching the park entrance and presenting our tickets, an employee insisted that my son needed a tag as well. I explained that I hadn't been given any tag for him. Accompanying him I and my son found the employee who was responsible for tags. The employee claimed that she had asked me about the tag for my son, and I supposedly shook my head indicating 'no.' I tried to explain that I hadn't heard the question and had, of course, filled out all the necessary paperwork for my son.
Despite my efforts to explain her that I filled waivers for me and my son , she continued to argue that she asked me and I waved my head as a “no”. Is it total absurd! Is she suggesting that I intended to ride alone while leaving my 5-year-old son waiting??? This was absurd, and I requested the employee to provide a tag for my son since all the paperwork had already been completed for him. To my disbelief, she insisted that I go back to the end of the lengthy line. When I questioned this requirement, her response was a "because." It was evident that she simply wanted to inconvenience me for not agreeing with her or not hearing her initial question about my son. A second employee, seemingly her friend with a noticeable black eye, also found amusement in the situation, further diminishing my experience. They are both looked like had a fun to made suffer me and my son. DECEMBER 31TH!!! What’s wrong with the people??? The option to leave the park crossed my mind, despite the $90 I had already paid for both myself and my son. Unfortunately, my son began to cry, unable to comprehend why we were leaving without enjoying the ride. I struggled to explain the situation to him. In an attempt to file a complaint against the employee, I returned to request her name, but she and her colleague laughed at me and refused to provide any information. Such an attitude towards a client was unexpected, especially in America. The holiday was utterly ruined. My son was distraught, and I was deeply upset. Is this the level of service expected in a first-world country? I even took a photo of the uncooperative employee, though she refused to disclose her information. I would let this incident go if it only affected me. However, the fact that my 5-year-old son, due to the employee's negligence, was sent back to endure another hour-long line after we had already completed all necessary procedures is unacceptable. This not only infringed upon my rights but also disrupted our New Year celebration. I have decided to take legal action against this park. Even if I don't win, as a journalist, I am determined to draw maximum attention to such disrespectful treatment, especially towards children.
Staff members literally enjoyed that situation and laughed at my helplessness. I could believe it”s...
Read moreI came here with my family to go on the Ropes Course, which is run by this same company and is right next to the Snow Tubing area. Before we even got in line, we asked if there was a separate line for the Ropes Course, to which we were told that there was just the one line for both the Ropes Course and the Tubing. That's fine, the kids were really looking forward to going up and having some fun, so we were okay with waiting what ended up being around an hour and a half. When we got to the front of the line to fill out the vouchers, we were asked how many people, and we said that there were three that were going to the Ropes Course, and we were to to go to a specific tablet for the Ropes Course. When we got to the tablet and started filling it out, another worker came up to us and we confirmed with her that we were here for the Ropes Course. After all that, we waited in the second line to pay for the tickets and after another 10 minutes, we got to the window and we were told that the Ropes Course was closed. Understandably, we got quite frustrated because we had waited 1.5+ hours to go on the Ropes Course and there were 3 separate instances where the staff (who are getting paid) could have told us that the Ropes Course was closed. At the very beginning when we asked if there was a separate line, when we got to the front of the line, and when we were filling out the vouchers on the tablet/getting the zip-ties put on us by a staff member. I would also like to say that we took the kids Tubing the day before and there were people actively on the Ropes Course and it was open, which was confirmed by the manager. Speaking of the manager, he was very kind, but for some reason didn't understand that was not that everyone called out sick, that's totally understandable during the winter season. Our problem was that, again, out of the THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS speaking to people who worked, directed, and helped people fill out information, NOT ONE PERSON said that the Ropes Course was closed. He kept on repeating that it was closed because people called in sick. This is just not acceptable, by any means. If the wait was 10 minutes, maybe 30, but over 1.5 HOURS?! If this was any other attraction company, they would at the very least offer some sort of discount for something else for wasting over an hour and a half of our day standing in line for a mistake that could have been easily avoided on their behalf.
TLDR: The people that work here do not know anything about what is happening there, and overall customer service is...

With a few more details, Heard about this place from a friend and decided to take the kids and give it a shot. We usually just use our own sleds instead of tubing in a pre-compacted place like this. We arrived there and the parking was fairly full but we still were able to park.
The line was horrible and unorganized. No signs on where it starts or what you’re waiting for. People cutting the lines and someone yelling inaudible things through a loudspeaker presumably people listen and stay in line? Did not understand a word.
We finish the long wait in line to discover that there is ANOTHER line. This was only to see if you’re eligible to ride height wise for kids and to sign the waivers. The second line now is back outside and you’re at the back of it to get the actual tickets. I feel like it’s done in a way to hide the long line but both procedures could be one line and one transaction. Build the waiver in buying the tickets guys! Prevents a lot of angst and annoyance. One line and done.
So you get to the window after waiting in the second line and you realize this is a money grab. They don’t charge per how many times you slide they just flat rate everyone at $45 per person! And kids under a certain age go with a parent at an EXTRA $32. Like one parent and a child and you’re almost at a hundred bucks not knowing if your kid is gona want to do it more than once! Money grab. Greedy style of business leaves a bad taste in customers mouthes’ and they end up giving reviews like this. My wife and friend and other kid decided not to ride. It was not worth it. Maybe if they gave options with packages - 1 run 2 runs 3 runs or unlimited then people would have options and control their own capacity of spending. Many who are still testing the waters will end up with 1 run plus unlimited if their kids like it.
Regardless of ideas like this, it still was expensive for what it is and I’d rather do the sleds we have again. More time having fun and less time waiting in one of the 6-7 lines. The second star was for having an escalator/rolling floor to go up the hill. It def made it easier to get back up the hill. We did it 3 times and got out to grab lunch and NOT come back next time we’re in Big Bear.
I def do not recommend. Get sleds and find a little hill and enjoy your time with your kids. You...
