Not good at all today. Been coming here probably close to 30 years or more, but it seems like the quality of the food has gone downhill in the past several years. The bacon on my BLT was very tasteless and looked freeze dried and like it was cooked in a microwave. The Jamaica juice tasted like watered down Kool-Aid. I even asked the waitress if it was made out of powder because it had a powder film on the top of it. I really hate to say it, but sadly it was all pretty awful. The chips beans rice and just about all that tasted like it came out of a bag or can, and just didn't really have that authentic Mexican taste to it at all anymore. Did not really think it was a great idea to leave the front door open, as we were fighting off flies through our whole meal. That in itself became very annoying. The whole thing was just filled with chicken. And I would say the quality of the chicken was questionable. The taste of the food was okay but I definitely would not say it was anything gourmet or special. I'm sure they probably had other things on the list that were really good but I felt like the quality was just thrown together. Don't expect a lot such as a fancy sit-down restaurant. And then you won't be disappointed. I am wondering if my bowels are feeling it a little bit from...

My family regularly ate at La Paws since I was a child and even after having long moved to the city, La Paws is still my favorite restaurant. The only thing I regret, is having to drive to Big Bear if I wanna enjoy their food. I wish they'd move their business to somewhere around LA or at least open another location, they'd make way better profits.
Update: went here for my birthday for the first time in about 9 years, I was happy to find the same chef still works here and I can attest, even despite living in the city, La Paws is still the best Mexican food...
