Amazing I kid you not!! If you love history, old trees, and the back bay, you will love this place! The home isn't open right now because work is being done however you can visit the grounds to see the massive tree (again I'm not kidding) and although the pictures are nice, to see it with your own eyes will make it breathtaking and leave you in awe. As you look at the tree and imagine coming upon it or seeing it at night. That would be a sight to behold. Also the back bay view of the water is lovely and I could imagine how peaceful it is 150+ years ago to sit on the porch and admire the view...
Read moreI rented this venue for my Wedding last year, Sept 24,2022. It was perfect! Ms Pustay from the visitor center was wonderful and so helpful. She came out the day of the wedding and personally picked up some garbage and a few things that the maintenance left behind when they mowed. It was just the most perfect place and I would rent it again. It was well worth the money spent! An overlooked Gem! I have a special memory of this place now and I am actually planning to re-visit on my 1st year Wedding Anniversary this...
Read moreWas excited to see this old home, my experience was ruined by a homeless man on the front porch, he then bathed himself naked with the running water on the grounds, I was able to walk around, but I couldn't full explore the grounds due to the situation mentioned above. I'd recommend any to see this place just be careful of anyone...
