I ONLY had a membership for the basketball court. It’s unfortunate this facility will allow everything to take precedent over the people that actually just want to play basketball. I live 20-25 minutes away, so I always call before driving over to check availability. In addition, I usually take a picture of the basketball court calendar for each month to be knowledgeable about when the court is available/unavailable, and plan to use the court around those times. I called yesterday morning and was told one half of the court was unavailable due to volleyball, and the other half was available, which isn’t outside of the norm so I drive on over. I’m about 25 minutes into my training session, and one of the staff members I normally see in the gym starts to set up cones on the court I’m using. He’s usually very polite so I ask if he needs the side of the court I’m using. He tells me due to rain the kids had to come inside but that I could continue on the other side, even though the volleyball net was still up. He even said he would lower the side goals for me to be able to keep shooting. I told him that was fine, as I understood the situation and again, he is always polite. I go to the other side which is not visible due to the curtain separating both sides of the court and begin doing some dribbling drills. Another staff member comes over, extremely rude and just tells me “GYM’S CLOSED”.. I inform him that the other gentleman told me I could utilize that side of the court, and he continues his rude talking to me as I am gathering up my things. He was rushing me out and continuing to raise his voice at me that the side of the court I was using was being rented, even though no one was using that side at the time, and I was actually just on the sideline dribbling a basketball bothering no one. This isn’t the first time I’ve had to leave the court due to some other event or situation that takes precedent over actually just wanting to play basketball, but it has never been rude or disrespectful before. I went to the counter extremely frustrated, as I had driven over to the facility to work on my game for at least an hour and only ended up getting in about 30 minutes. I tell one of the staff members I need to cancel while visibly frustrated, and she just hands me a paper to fill out and continued what she was doing. Look, I understand there will be times when the court has to be utilized for other things, but it would be nice for the people that pay for a membership to play basketball, to be able to do just that without having to worry about so many restrictions. Especially when calling in advance to check on the status of the court. It’s unfortunate I had to cancel as I work in the area, even though I don’t live there, so it’s convenient for me to be able to get my workout in at times before work. Apologies for the rant but the way I was treated yesterday was...

So over all this facility is great. This is my first time coming by, but my experience is based off my sister in laws experience with hosting my nieces birthday party today. This is the second year she has hosted it here at the pool. Last time along with this time, she was told there was not allowed to bring outside food or drinks other then cake/cupcakes, goody bags and ice cream. Which resorted her paying more for awful pizza. When a separate party right next to us we’re allowed to have dominos and other snacks. Extremely annoying. The other part, last year, parents eye were allowed to accompany their children in the pool area. This time, they were limited to 10 swim bands, and were told they were “sold out” of swim bands and were not allowed to pay for extra bands before or during the party. Just seems crazy when parents are required to be there With their children and couldn’t swim and restricted their children on what they could do. Other then that, the 3 young men that were life guards didn’t seem to even care, the young lady was very vigilant. Just didn’t seem like the best experience and rushed for 2 hours. There should be longer pool periods for the...

RACISTS!!! Omg, it's been a long time since I've experienced racism like this. I accompanied a friend and her children here for the first time on Sunday to swim. The parking lot was almost empty. The guy at the door told us they were full and we couldn't come in unless we had a reservation. Ok, didn't make much sense but we were gonna just roll with that until.....we saw another family about to go in. We politely asked them if they had a reservation, they said no and it was their first time there. Nice, friendly people. So we witnessed and heard them going up to the door, asked if it was their first time, and immediately being offered a tour and paperwork for membership that they could pay for after the tour. They were not asked for a reservation. We go up to the door again and say that the previous family (who were white) went in w/o a reservation. The guy at the door comes with full bs rudeness, stating that the family was YMCA members and that's why they were let in. Then we asked for a tour, and after talking around in circles he said we would have to pay for a membership in advance and get the tour later. They don't have to worry about us...
