The mermaid dive bar has quickly become one of my absolute favorite places to go for both really great food and drinks. I first went there a few months ago and Brittany who was bartending and was Top Notch. She made some suggestions for food which we tried and loved and have went back several times since then. having a good experience with someone at a restaurant always makes food taste better. One of the last times I was there I had there nachos which are hand fried in the kitchen and where the best I've ever had so of course when I go back I order the Christmas dip or the nachos. typically I take a picture of all my food drinks and everything in between but on this last occasion I did not and I regret it but be a great time for you to check it out for yourself. The owner was there last time and was great for conversation and made a real effort to engage with those of us at the bar, that's not always what you get and I really...
Read moreI honestly cannot get enough. For me, it’s one of those places that’s a home away from home. If I’m not at work, or the house, find me here with a cold beer chatting up one of the lethally beautiful and equally as entertaining bartenders.
What solidified my choice on this bar is that it is a mixed bag of people existing in symbiosis, and the hearty and diverse bar grub (the Thai dishes are authentic and leave you wanting more!). I’ve read a lot of the other reviews as well, and I think the name “mermaid DIVE bar” by its very literal nature is already not promising you a rose garden, but somewhere you can get a stiff drink and cozy up at and relax after a stressful day, or even celebrate a win. Unfortunately, some people who are faint of heart tend to express their distaste with their reviews. Don’t let it fool you, this is the locals and tourists gem of Biloxi, and always...
Read morePretty neat little corner bar in downtown Biloxi. So happy I finally got to check it out. The ambiance is pretty nice and the bartenders make some pretty good drinks. They have a neat little seating area by the door with two couches- super chill and cozy, but also have the bar, a few tables by the TVs, and a wall length booth over by the pool table (they also have darts!) I only knocked a star bc I was really looking forward to trying the pad tai, but when I received it it was just...not pad tai. It says it comes with bean sprouts and peanuts, but those were definitely not in my dish- neither was the tamarind. So basically it was just sweet noodles with eggs and shrimp. Not terrible....just not what I wanted. Will definitely be back for...
