(Amended since posting. However, i will leave the details of my experience and raise my raiting from 3 stars to 4. Goat milk is now back in stock). I've shopped here, at the Bellingham, Ma Stop and Shop for 15 years. In that time, my household has found a consistent need for 'GOAT MILK'. I was having to travel to Franklin and North Bellingham to find a store "Shaw's", "Market Basket" or the Franklin "Stop and Shop" to purchase it. I was really relieved to learn the local Stop and Shop began carrying the product (goat milk). Now, i only needed to drive a mile and a half from my home to buy it. However, this Bellingham, Stop and Shop stopped stocking goat milk. I made several inquiries with the store to learn when this location would have goat milk in stock. Then contacted the corporate office. The store put it back on the shelf for a week. Then replaced it with 'Buttermilk ' . There are 3 brands of Buttermilk in the dairy section. Not 1 goat milk. I contacted corporate again. Goatmilk appeared back in the dairy case for about 3 weeks. It is no longer here. But, this Stop and shop has plenty of Oat, Almond and Buttermilk! They won't empty 1 slot of either of those to make room for Goat milk?! This seems to me to be more of a power struggle with whoever is in charge at Dairy. So, here you go. Not too bad of a review because I have enjoyed this location and the interaction I have had with employees for 15 years. Out of my household, I myself spend $1500 a month here. No longer. If this power hungry dairy manager wants to lose approximately $2500 a month from my household on behalf of Stop and Shop share holders of 'A-Hold' stock (that's the corporate name), congratulations. You succeeded! I'm going to use my points on my loyalty card as I pull out of the parking lot to get gas. Then, since I have to drive 7 miles to Shaws, I will be sure to do all of the shopping for my...
Read moreUsually find what I'm looking for. You have to pay attention to the price lables, can at times be confusing. Satisfaction rating: 85%. So now, my 3 star rating is because I'm tired of checking labels, maybe I should take my magnifying glass next time, and don't you young people forget that it's not easy looking at price labels on a bottom shelf. So, today I bought a half gallon of Turkey Hill All Natural ice cream. Bottom shelf mind you. To there were two labels resting on top of two different flavors. It looked as though the labels probably should have been on the label display bar, but they weren't. The labels were on Salted Caramel & one on Vanilla Bean . We didn't take the Salted Bean because it was all sticky, so we took the that had the other label on it. Of course it was rejected at the register, so I went back to get the label. So now in small abbreviated print it says TH Salted Caramel. So that was the only one on sale. The person at the register called another person of authority over to remove the purchase from our unpaid as of yet sales slip. My complaint is that we were told non-chalantly, that we need to check the pricing labels. Maybe an appology would have been appropriate. Or maybe the store could have offered it to us at the labeled price of the Salted Caramel ice cream. I've been going to this store for as long as it's been there. And, it's not the first time I've had to come back because I've been over charged. In my day, the customer came first. David Mencarini. By the way, we didn't buy the ice cream, and I approached the person of authority and encouraged her to go over to the ice cream section to ensure labeling...
Read moreI was disappointed in the customer service / cashier. We are reminded to bring our own bags, however, when we have specialized bag to hold cold items, inevitably, the cashier/bagger will use it for non-refrigerated items, leaving the frozen or cold items to be put into the other non-cooler type bags. It is very frustrating. I gave three bags for my items. Everything in my order was put into my cooler bag, with the exception of my orange juice, which was put into a regular bag. There would have been room in my cooler bag for the OJ if the shelf stable mayonnaise, and shelf stable cans would have been put into a regular bag instead of the cooler bag. I would have stopped him if I wasn't helping my mother to put her items on the conveyor. I then used my mom's cooler bag and started bagging her cold items to prevent the same with hers. The cashier started putting all of her canned goods in one bag. When I told him it was too heavy, he pushed the bag toward me and said "Sorry" a little sarcastically, as if to say deal with it yourself. I did, using another of her bags to separate the items. Sorry, but that S&S just lost me and my mother as customers. Stop and Shop, please teach your staff how to bag without over packing and to use the correct bags when available. It's not brain surgery. Also, courtesy would have kept me...
