If I could give this salon a 0 star rating I would. Made an appt. after having taken a peek at their inventory during a previous visit. During that visit, I took pictures so I could remember which dresses I liked. I came in with just my mom to try on some of those gowns just recently. I was greeted by the owner and another consultant. My consultant immediately started to suggest dresses, no getting to know me or my fiance's story, no asking of price point, or the theme of my wedding. She also didn't bother to ask me what my style was or what it was exactly that I did or didn't like in a dress. i stopped her and told her that I had pics from the last time that I stopped in. She seemed surprised (probably since I wasn't supposed to have any). She pulled the dresses but we couldn't find one of them. By this time the owner had stuck her nose in and was asking which dress I was looking for. I showed her the pics, she was clearly angered that I had pics to begin with. When I showed her the front and back of the dress she was extremely rude and arguing that I didn't have the same dress in the two pics. Eventually we found it. When trying on, I was left to put everything on myself. I became extremely hot and even sweaty from having to lift these dresses on and off of myself without any help. When I came out at one point, I told her that the dress wasn't pulled down in the front and I couldn't do it myself, she just laughed and said, yeah it doesn't fit like it should, it's a size or two too small for you I think. She also made frequent remarks about how short I was and how certain dresses that I liked weren't going to work with my short stature. During this whole time, the owner was creeping in the back and watching us with a rude demeanor about her. I felt so uncomfortable that I ended my appointment. Before I left, I had a dress that I really loved. I asked who the designer was so that I could show pictures online to my close friends to get their opinions, since I wasn't allowed to take pics while in the dress. The consultant immediately said we aren't allowed to give that information out. And I told her why I needed it, and she further stressed, "Oh I wouldn't have a way of knowing that anyway, I don't know what all the numbers mean." I left very upset and VERY uncomfortable. TERRIBLE customer service, and very creepy and rude owner. I will not be returning there to get my dress and I sure won't be suggesting them to any bride that I know. They made a huge mistake by removing all of the tags and refusing to release the designer information, because they lost my business and that of anyone I know. And for future reference to other brides, they stock Essence of Australia, Stella York, and possibly Martina Liana. I found some of the dresses I tried on on those sites. My suggestion is to forgo this terrible shop and look at others that carry these lines. They at least wont be sneaky and shady about...
Read moreWe found a bridesmaid dress we really like here but wanted to look it up online because it was our first stop of the day and by the time you look at 100+ other dresses, you can't really remember what the one you really liked looked like. So we called Angelique's and they tell us they "think" it is made by so-and-so. Okay - you think - great. So we look online and can not find that dress under so-and-so anywhere. A couple of days later I call back and ask again and the lady on the phone says "I gave you information when you called a couple of days ago." I say "yes, I think that was the wrong information because we couldn't find it online anywhere." So she puts me on hold. Comes back and says "well not all of the dresses are online." Which yes, I understand but I also know how to research and am pretty sure that I can find it online, anyways, so I say "Ok then can you give me the name again because I can't remember it." Which is the truth, I can't remember what she told us on Saturday. Then she tells me that the bride made an appointment to come in so she doesn't understand why I need it. I told her that I understand she made an appointment and we are trying to save the trip, it's the dress we like but we just want to see it before ordering it. THEN THE WOMAN HAS THE GALL TO TELL ME THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW THE NAME OF THE DRESS. I said, "you don't know" she says "no, the names of the dresses aren't on them." So I sat in silence, waiting for her to realize the craziness of what she just said to me and honestly taken aback by her audacity and she says "nope, sorry, don't know. Well the bride has an appointment so this can all by solved when she comes in." OK THANKS FOR THE NO HELP. That is the most terrible, self-serving thing I have ever seen. I get that they are nervous we were going to go elsewhere but they are a service, they should have given us the name so we can look it up and then order it from them. They should stand behind their service and feel confident that people would be loyal. We all work full-time jobs and don't have time to make another appointment and drive all the way there just to get the confirmation that we need by seeing a picture of the dress online.
Here's my message to Angelique's: when we now come all the way in there to see the dress and decide it is the one, we may NOT order it from your store because of the games that you decided to play with us. You now have us questioning what the rest of your service will be like after we place an order with you. And you gave me a reason to look up your reviews online, which are not good, so you have really done a disservice to us, your customer,...
Read moreI had a bridal appointment with Lisa this afternoon. It was an amazingly pleasant experience from start to finish. To begin with, scheduling my appointment was more than accommodating. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted by Lisa. As we moved into the bridal area, she asked me about my wants and dislikes. Lisa listened to me as well as, viewed photos I had along. I loved that I was able to go through the dresses and pick out things I might like as well as based on her experience and knowledge, Lisa also did the same. She did not come into the changing room with me and was right outside the door as soon as I needed to be secured in the dress. I read reviews that made negative comments regarding a consultant not being in the dressing room to put the dress on. I think this is a personal preference; I have no opinion either way and I feel if it were important to me and I voiced that to Lisa, she would have been more than willing to come in and lift the dress up for me to slip into it. I found two dresses I liked quite well. Because I had brought an entourage to my prior appointment at another bridal shop and had gotten overwhelmed, I chose to go along today. With that said, I wanted to see myself as more as others would see me. I asked Lisa to take a photo of me in each one of these dresses. She not only willingly honored this request, she worked hard to make the dress and accessories looked just perfect for a photo I wanted to send to my mother and soon to be mother-in-law as they both live out of state. Throughout my appointment another consultant and the owner dropped by a few times to make me feel at home. All in all, I walked away with not only "The Dress", I am able to say because of Angelique's and Lisa I also left with "The Experience." I can not say enough positive words in this review and HIGHLY recommend if you have not been to Angelique's to visit it and better yet, if you have prior to it's new ownership, give it another try as you will not be...
