Song Tea & Poke — Restaurant in Blaine

Wow. Where to start? I have come here several times and it’s been decent however it seems to have gone downhill and tonight’s visit was a train wreck! First, I asked if there was a way to cut the shrimp pieces down a bit and they didn’t hesitate to say no “because we don’t have access to a knife”. What? How do they cut their ingredients? A restaurant with zero knives available (not even a plastic one). The last few times I’ve been there including tonight, the staff seems like they want to be ANYWHERE but there. Like I’m truly annoying/inconveniencing them to walk through the door. As for the food, it has been ok until recently. Tonight I legitimately almost threw up after eating a fishy piece of tuna. I thought it was perhaps one piece so kept eating and then halfway through another absolutely horrifyingly fishy taste hit me again and I had to spit out my food. I’ve NEVER done that in public and immediately threw out my food and ran out before I was sick in public. The shrimp wasn’t good at ALL tonight or the last time we went. Cleanliness. Oh. My. GAWD. We sat down to eat quick and immediately noticed that it appeared as though nobody had even swept (much less mopped) in weeks or months. Old food, dust bunnies, hairballs and gawd knows what else. 🤮 Now in hindsight, it should have been a huge red flag that we should not order any raw food from this place. Amazing! Food is fresh and staff are polite. If you haven't had poké ("poke-ay" sometimes "poke-ee") I recommend trying it! Their 'Poké Sauce' is super good, it's kind of like a sweet soy sauce, or if you've had sushi it's like eel sauce. I recommend white rice with tuna and salmon, some must-have toppings in my opinion are edamame, pineapple, and onion crunch. You get three of each topping so choose wisely! :) The Dirty Brown Sugar drink is so good! It's milk based and tastes sweet but refreshing, you'll definitely want to get a large. Overall, I highly recommend. It's a little pricey, but so is healthcare when you're sick from eating cheap fast-food all the time. ;) Worth it! Definitely gotta try it. DO NOT go to this place… if you do.. DO NOT use their online ordering system. I was a frequent customer until they decided to charge me twice! I called on the phone when it was posted and the “manager” wanted my name, entire card number, expiration date and the security code on the back of the card. She said that they are busy and she will look later. I told her No I am your customer right now and I am not going to give you my entire card number. Your focus should be serving me right now cause I am a customer. She said that she can look later and then I can go in. I am recovering from surgery and don’t feel like going into the store on a cold rainy day like this. Lost a customer. Never going back. She can keep that $$..
