Grandaddy Mimm's Distilling Co. "The Co-Op" — Attraction in Blairsville

We drove almost an hour to get here and arrived 45 minutes before closing time. There were only two other people in the establishment. We waited 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us. All the while we're standing there, he continues to chat with the two people like we're not even there. During this time, I left to see if I could find the young lady that greeted us as we came in. No luck. Had my boyfriend not gone up to him, he probably never would have acknowledged us. I didn't get the individual's name, but he wears glasses and has a beard. My boyfriend did make a purchase as to not drive an hour and leave empty handed. However, he also agreed had it not been for the drive and not wanting to make a blank trip, he definitely wouldn't have. I can't recommend this place and nor will we be back. Had a great time at Granddaddy Mimm's 5-year birthday celebration last weekend. Delicious drinks, great music outside, sweet ladies grilling hot dogs. The crowd was a cool mix of Blairsville locals, tourists and transplants!

The interior of the new tasting room and store is gorgeous, with a funky little stage for small performances, beautiful woodwork and a gorgeous bar! It was a place that inspires you to sit down and set a spell.

My favorite libations I tried were the Owltown raspberry guava vodka, the blueberry moonshine and the apple Betty moonshine. I enjoyed them as mixed drinks, but I think they would have been fun to sip on by themselves too!

Travelled from London to Blasville and decided to visit this distillery to try moonshine. I was first skeptical but all the locals advised me to go and wow it was amazing!

The prices are amazing and the moonshine is beyond fantastic.

The highlight of this trip was Roger!!! Amazing customer service. She gave us a flight to taste all the moonshine which was really well priced. We then tried out the flights off the beers!

She was kind enough to show us the distillery and was very passionate about what she does.I loved the fact that she gave a really good history about who the institution is and we ended up buying a few bottles of moonshine!
