I'm sure this is a great sports park and playground for kids, but I came to check out the walking trail... I'm house and pet sitting and I like to take the dogs I watch on "Adventures". Since I'm not from around here I rely on Google to find the good places for dog walking and still keep us both interested in the surroundings....this park hits the mark! I highly suggest going in the morning on weekdays before 8 am. It's quiet and you can see more wildlife around the lake. In fact the area had baby bunnies everywhere, which walking a dog can get distracting but fun. This would be a park I'd come back to. When parking all you will see is the playing field, take a path to get behind them and you will find the lake. We did the shorter loop which was just under a mile. There is a playground and another space were you can do some pull ups and abdominal exercises. There is a nice bike path were you can also go and walk. Nice mini version of a forest preserve. There's a variety of birds and insects. There is also a small dock where you can go fishing. I'm not sure if there's any fish in the small lake.
