The food is decent (could be better) but that could depend on the chef for that morning/day. The portions are medium sized which I like because then you're not leaving with a belly ache from stuffing yourself silly. Some places give you too much food and then you end up wasting some of it. I got the steak skillet (second time) the veggies should have been sauteed more, the steak was decent, not too much fat, but it needed more seasoning I think. Biscuits and gravy arrived to us slightly warm. Seems like that was the first thing prepared when it should have been the last before bringing it to the table. The gravy was bland though. The server was very nice always checking in on us (there wasn't really much else for her to do. We were like the 3rd customers with one other couple coming in when we were finished). Overall, decent food but nothing to...
Read moreI saved my appetite to explore somewhere new today. My daughter wanted a repeat of Denny's which was great- so no complaints there. Bloomingdale Cafe offers indoor and outdoor dining. I just couldn't take the heat today. Kiddo had the chocolate chip pancake meal, while I opted for an omelet. Full disclosure: you couldn't pay me me to eat scrambled eggs. Hard boiled Easter... yeah. My veggie omelet was super loaded! They offer chicken as an add-on option and fried chicken slid outta my mouth! Something about being on a diet makes you want fried chicken-or fried any & everything for that fact. Our waitress said yes! Took my omelet to another level. I should've asked for cilantro and jalapenos. They can just put this on the menu and call it by my name. Fresh coffee. Service was great. The...
Read moreThis place used to be a hidden gem. Idk what happened. Went there for brunch and I swear the employees all smoked up on break. I ordered the blueberry crepes..i got a plain crepe with some fresh but warmed up blueberries, not a blueberry compote as is expected. Whoever made the crepe had also never made them before it seemed. Took forever to get drinks and food and to top it off: right in the middle of the bruchn service they decided to just close for thirty minutes. So people were coming in and they were like naw, we are gonna close for a little bit, maybe come back or leave. I felt like I was at someone's momma's house hanging out and getting a free breakfast. Except we had to pay for it. Such a shame because this place used to be amazing. I'm assuming it's under...
