I had an fue transplant done today and everyone at the facility was amazing. I had 8 to 10 people taking care of me. Dr Gary Petrus was awesome! It was a long procedure and I deal with chronic back pain so sometimes it was challenging, but they worked hard to keep me comfortable. The people working there were very friendly. amazing, professional and made me feel very comfortable. I wish I could name drop everybody, but they were too many people to remember. I’m giving them five stars based off my experience. I will update this review in six months to a year to let you know if it worked. The only thing that was slightly offputting was they wanted me to sign a paper saying I would pay more money for anything over 3000 grafts but my contract was for 3000+ grafts and I was expecting 3500 with a $16,000 flat fee for anything over 3000 (which I paid upfront) and wasn’t supposed to be charged anything more so that was a bit concerning. Just didn’t feel right they weren’t on the same page which makes me think they must do different prices for everybody depending on how well you negotiate with them. I wouldn’t sign the paper and I told them they need to discuss with Nate the person who I did the contract with. Ultimately it was a non-issue but I’m in a sales job and it just seemed not right to me.

My time at HRI was most pleasant. I felt comfortable with everyone in the office and excited to show my new look to family and friends! Cindy was friendly, professional and made scheduling very easy. She answered all questions knowledgeably. Dr. Nate assessed my hair, explaining why my hair was thing. He explained my condition and what they could do to help me. I am not wealthy and work on a budget. I didn’t expect to have any options available as I had family members have surgeries and other procedures that cost tens of thousands. Surprisingly I learned HRI is not just a one stop place that sends you on your way. They are a program. A team that sticks by you. They provide all your hair needs, including cuts, trims and medical care. I was quite impressed! As was my wife! šŸ˜‰. Contact HRI man, you won’t regret it because if you’re like me and hear people talking about hair in general have your stomach instantly tighten up waiting for the discussion to focus on my hair problems, this is the cure - HRI, of Minnesota!

RED FLAG. HRI will tell you they can only fill a prescription at a compounding pharmacy. They do this in order to receive a kickback and have you overpay. Very questionable ethics and business practices. I suggest you look elsewhere. Their surgery results were acceptable. But their ethics are extremely poor and change their story depending on which member of their staff you speak with... one of their own staff told me about their tricks. UPDATE: Alec has blown up my phone this afternoon with emails and calls trying to get me to remove this review. Their claim their formula is different than standard finasteride because they added basic vitamins. It is nothing but a scam for them to charge 100x what the medicine costs elsewhere. It absurd and nothing but another profit center for a business that is almost always for sale on bizbuysell. THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS STAY AWAY. The reviews are fake and videos uploaded are the guys that work there.

After reviewing the surgical options I made the decision to begin the process with an engineered wig which is then glued to your head, after the initial consultation which included marking the soon to be restored hairline with a wig the two individuals matched me up with a hair sample. My hair is dark brown/black with very light then white hair mixed in as I've aged. They selected a hair sample which included black and white hair which based on my vantage point look like a fairly good match. They confirm to me that both the color, texture and thickness would be matched perfectly for an engineered wig/hairpiece. At the first meeting I paid just over $450 for them to begin the process order the wig and schedule the next appointment. Just over two weeks later they had received the engineered hairpiece which was ā€œ supposed to matchā€ based on what was previously promised with color, texture and thickness. Upon arriving for the scheduled appointment what was shown to me was an all silver-ish gray wig/hairpiece with my significant other in tow we discussed how that is not the right color and texture. The stylist Michelle agreed and left the room to look for an alternate hairpiece in stock that would match closer. Upon not finding anything in stock Michelle went through the process of coloring the existing wig/hairpiece to make sure that I would make the final payment of close to $500. With respect to Michelle, I believe she did the best she could with what she had to work with, although the final product once applied via sticky goo looked rather ridiculous but given that Michelle had performed her normal service I withheld judgment and decided to see what the week hairpiece look like outside and gather the opinion of some other friends and family who I have told I was going through this process.. After personal review, comments from friends and family the final product was completely ridiculous, when Michelle colored the silver-ish gray wig/hairpiece the lighter colored hairs became blue in color instead of whitish gray. I'm sure anyone who is worked with color or had colored hair in the past knows that trying to color your existing hair or even color hairpiece is a little bit of a shot in the dark. The evening of the final appointment and after paying close to $1000 I peeled the hairpiece off of my head. My plan was to reach out to hair restoration Institute of Minnesota first thing in the morning and speak with someone about modifying this existing hairpiece, ordering a new hairpiece with the correct color and restart the process even willing to invest a little more in Michelle's time as the stylist because I felt like I was rushed out the door wearing what best can be described as a squirrel. I would have liked to work together for a better...

Dr. Khaled O. Alameddine is truly exceptional. I have never been listened to or cared for by anyone in the way that Dr. Khaled did for me. He checked-in frequently throughout the procedure, ensuring the team was doing a truly perfect job and re-directing if he felt they needed to do something slightly better. Prior to the procedure, he was incredibly patient and genuinely involved when marking what I wanted to have done. He insisted that I loved our plan before he did anything else. He spoke to his team kindly and cared about them too while they worked together. Dr. Khaled is a truly exceptional doctor. I would travel far to get to work with him again. He is exceptional.

Nate is also highly responsive and offers a great post-op video to help you know what to do after the procedure is complete.

A few other areas about my experience:

There was no AC in the office during my 12 hour procedure, and it was 80+ degrees outside. I am told this is only the case for Sunday appointments, but it wasn’t too bad! It’s nice that Sundays are offered. Dr. Khaled thoughtfully created a makeshift AC with ice and a fan and it made a big difference. I think this is a building issue and not an HRI issue Dr. Khaled instructed me to spray saline spray every hour for the first few days, however I didn’t receive any saline spray. Nate’s (super informative!) post-op video also mentions to use saline spray. When I called/emailed after leaving the procedure, Nicole and Nate told me I don’t need it. Confusing, but everything seems okay without it so far The manager told me she would be following-up via phone call the following day after the procedure to check-in, but I didn’t receive a call. I did however get a call the day after, and was told it was because she was with her daughter the day prior (they were closed the day before too, which could also have been why they didn’t give me a call). She is incredibly friendly and nice I received 300 grafts less than what I paid for (which I am happy about! Dr. Khaled didn’t want to add more/less than exactly what I needed). I did have to ask to be refunded the difference, but was given a refund immediately after looking into it Complimentary after-transplant treatments are mentioned prior to the procedure, but be sure to ask for them after the procedure is complete if you’d like them. I haven’t tried them yet, but it’s nice that that this is offered

I will edit as I start to see my results. I am currently 4 days post-op...

From the moment I stepped into HRI of Minnesota, I knew I was in good hands. Nate was an incredible guide from my initial consultation through to the end of my post-operative care. His dedication and attention to detail made all the difference. Dr. Petrus's kindness and expertise were apparent from the get-go, making me feel at ease with my decision. The techs, Tatyana, Claudia, and Nusrat, performed outstandingly, contributing to a seamless experience.

I chose HRI based on the glowing reviews I read online, and I can now say those reviews didn't lie. If you're on the fence about getting a hair transplant, let my positive experience tip the scales. My initial reservations were quickly dispelled by Nate’s genuine, non-pushy approach during our in-person meeting. He, along with the entire staff, was always focused on answering my questions with straightforward kindness.

The all-day surgery was made so much more bearable thanks to the staff's kindness and positive energy. From my first meeting to the days following the surgery, Nate ensured I was fully prepared, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. It's clear why people would travel specifically for their expertise.

Although I'm only a week post-op, the care I’ve received has me confident in the upcoming results. I’ll be back to share updates and photos in 6 months, but if the care and service I've received are anything to go by, I expect nothing less than...
