My group and I were looking for Weiss Schwarz and Yugioh products/bulk to buy and didn’t have the greatest experience shopping around. I asked for prices on a specific Weiss Booster Box and the employee looked it up on their clover app and said it was around $100. Okay, reasonable. I then looked closely at the box I was looking to buy and it was tagged at $80. I questioned it and he said he guess these were $80 and would honor it. Okay???My other buddies then asked same employee about their Yugioh Ghost from the Past 2 and one box was priced for $20. Reasonable price. They asked if store would give them any discount if they were to buy a display box (5 boxes total), they sold no and customers would just be paying per individual box….okay. My buddies then moved on and wanted to see the store’s Yu-Gi-Oh bulk and some of their Yu-Gi-Oh Holo Collection, same employee said that he didn’t want to show or take the Holo Collection out for us to look at because other customers have messed up their “archive” collection of the organized sets. Hmmm sure, okay, makes total sense. Then our other buddy decided to ask the price of their sealed Pokemon XY Phantom Forces Booster Box, same employee looked up the pricing on his phone, and my buddy asked if he was looking on TCGPlayer, to which he responded, yes it’s the easiest to look up the price. Well then, if we go by that logic, then the exact same booster boxes that I wanted for Weiss, at the time, are going for $40-50. So…what’s the real price then for your products? They have TONS of products to sell from a variety of TCGs and OCGs but with varying prices from at the store and checking TCG and with how we interacted with the employee at the time, our group didn’t want to spend money here. The vibe was not it and my group proceeded to leave, most likely will not be coming back despite the abundance of products we were...
Read moreI have to give these guys 2 our 5 stars. First off this is not a bash post. Everyone here is nice. But my low review is related to their MTG operations. This is a great place for accessories and maybe yugioh or Pokemon (can't speak for these two as I don't play them), but for magic they need to re evaluate that side of things. While they might have a variety of mtg options their pricing is a little bonkers to be honest. Was is there yesterday and they are selling modern horizons II and III for over 400 dollars. This is almost twice the cost of tcg/market price. Mh3 is going for around 220 while MH2 is around 220 - 250. A. few weeks back they were selling WOE set boosters for 11 dollars when the market price is around 6.50 to 7. While I do like to support my local card stores, this is just an insane markup. I am not sure if people are actually paying these prices but if they are they do not know any better. I understand companies need to turn a profit, but this level of markup is not justifiable. Sometimes stores pay too much money for a product or prices tank before they can sell out. It happens and is the cost of doing business. But to try and pass that cost on to the customers is not right. I do hope you guys succeed but I do not think magic is your thing if you guys are not trying to be remotely competitive on prices. If you are unable to get distribution pricing you are better off buying from TCG and doing a...
Read moreA card gaming store. They have a vast array of options to browse in the card game variety. Lots of card game accessories, such as sleeves, card holders for binders, protective card sleeves, dice, play mats, dice trays.
There are three tvs on one wall, maybe for gaming? But there was a TV channel on in the background while i was there.
They have many tables set up for card games, or other table top games.
They could use a restock on the paint brushes (5/7/2022)
They had a variety of refrigerated soda, energy drinks, sports drinks, and water for sale.
They had a variety of candy.
I didn't see a microwave, or frozen meals available, but i would recommend that for a gaming store that it open as late as this store is. The hours of this store are great for gaming! Thanks.
The employees were friendly.
A few board games were for sale.
But it doesn't seem like the store is directed toward ttrpg games, so take that with a grain of salt.
Enjoyable atmosphere, customers felt comfortable to be themselves. Although said customers seemed to be 28+ male presenting.
At least two families came in while i was there, they purchased some items and left. One mother said that the atmosphere looked like fun, but she didn't know where to get started. So, maybe a friendly corner with trial games could...
