Exclusively You — Attraction in Bloomsburg

My friend chose this place to purchase our bridal party dresses. From the start, we should've just walked away. We chose the dress that the whole party liked, set up appointments for fitting and to order. They called us a couple days prior saying we need to order them if we wanted them, completely oblivious to the appointment. As soon as we got there they were scrambling around and informed us they can't order those dresses anymore. They shouldve checked into this when they called saying we needed to come in. So then we had to rush around to find a new dress and I say rush because that's how they made us feel. They told me before ordering that I needed to pay extra for an extra length dress because I'm tall, I'm only 5'6", been in 2 weddings and had my own; I never needed extra length. Months later our dresses come in and we go for our fittings. I get fitted and find out that now i need to pay more to get the extra length cut off the bottom because it's too long! In addition to my issue, they broke 2 out of 3 of the zippers on the dresses and they need to order replacements. These 2 dresses didn't arrive until towards the end of April and the wedding is May 21. Now 2 of the girls need to go for another fitting. The 3 of us go to pick up our dresses on May 18th, they break one of the zippers again! They blame the manufacturer again and say they'll put a new zipper on. If it was a problem why didn't they do this the first time? They then ask the bridesmaid about coming back May 20th, ONE day before the wedding. They rushed us out of there instead of making us feel welcome. Here we are 2 days until the wedding and 1 of our girls doesn't have a dress! They hardly apologized, offered no discounts, nothing. I have really mixed feelings about Exclusively You. Some of the ladies were really helpful and nice, some weren't. What really got me was they forgot to call me when my bridesmaids dresses came in so I finally called them two months before my wedding to see what was going on. They said the dresses were in and I have no idea how long they had been there. Another issue happened when my one bridesmaid received her dress it was ridiculously huge on her. She called the store to tell them and they basically said there was nothing they could do because it was too close to my wedding for them to exchange the dress. That irritated me because that was their fault for not calling me in the first place. It is their job to stay organized. I also wasn't really impressed with my dress alterations. I had this feeling that the lady who altered it was annoyed with me and in a rush. I had to go in three times for fittings. First my dress was just too large and then they altered it so tight they couldn't zip it up all the way (mind you I wasn't gaining and losing a ton of weight within two weeks of each fitting). I understand sometimes it takes a few times to get your dress to fit, but the lady just seemed frustrated and rushed which made me feel like she wasn't taking her time with what she was doing. I wouldn't tell people not to go there because it is a nice place and some of the staff are really helpful and friendly. But I would just caution if you go there, be on top of stuff. I had the best experience with Bridal Consultant Jillian! She was so sweet, kind and patient with me. I did not feel rushed and she listened to what I was looking for! She actually brought dresses to me that were exactly what I was looking for! I am so thankful to have met Jillian and will be back to work with her again! Thank you Jillian!

UPDATE: I wanted to make sure I updated my original post, as I ended up returning to Exclusively You a year later! My husband and I decided to get married in one month and I did not have a dress! On top of it, the wedding was a secret so I was on my own to find a dress quickly! I called Exclusively You and they had me come in! They were able to order me the dress I wanted and it came in for the wedding! They worked so quickly and were able to make all the alterations for me! EVERYONE at Exclusively You made me feel like family and made sure I was comfortable! Again, I was alone but these ladies made me feel so special and were so kind!
