It happened MAY 23, 2024 and I am a pregnant woman and using a WIC benefits. The lady at the Customer care was rude (her hair is colored red) . I was explaining that I grab the items in the fridge specifically low fat milk and the pricetag on the fridge has Wic approved indicator too. But I was suprised to pay $33 for it. So when I am explaining this lady cuts me off and tell me 'I dont have wic so I dont know what your talking about' Her facial expression is also annoying she's not smiling nor looks like willing to help. I sense of she's acting like a racist. She thought that I doesnt know how to speak english and the whole time shes talking with me she's making her side eyes and not even listening to me. The manager (a guy) was there also and didnt help me at all. I even bring back the milk that I grab, imagining that I am pregnant walking with 4 boxes of milks. The manager didnt help me at all, he just said that its supposed to be under wic but the system just dont work. I even grab the kroger brand for them to try it too if it will work. The craziest thing is that they are asking me 'SO WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO?' Why are they even asking the customer how to solved their problem. I found this thing as a scam. I have been using wic for a long time now and this is the first time I encountered it. I can assure that they act racist towards me because I might be look like hispanic but I am asian. I see how they even bubbling at the counter instead of helping me. These 2 people are shameless. That is how they treat pregnant customer. I spent more that 1 hours just to get help from them. They need to fix their system and stop scamming people. I will be reporting this incident to wic to raise awareness of how pregnant women will be treated at...
Read moreI do not mind shopping at Kroger, where I normally am not a big fan of food shopping. Multiple brands for each type of item. The store is always very clean and well lit. The staff running the carts in the parking lot keep everything running smoothly. Without the carts, there would be minimal purchases. It all starts where many of us fail to realize. Each department is well stocked and maintained. I have celiac, so the variety of gluten-free products is excellent. The staff working the registers are extremely pleasant, and I always enjoy a quick conversation without holding up the line. There are always several check out lanes open with minimal to no wait. I do like the self check out. Every staff member that I have encountered is pleasant and willing to assist. It's difficult to say in most places these days. Based on my residence on the island for six months, Kroger has the best prices along with equal or better quality than other stores in the area.
If you have not shopped at Kroger or it has been a while, I would suggest making the stop, unless you enjoy paying $7.00 for chicken thighs elsewhere. Does not make you a bad person, but I will gladly put my chicken thighs from Kroger for at least half the cost up against your $7.00 thighs any day, ha. Outcome, same quality chicken, great savings.

Read moreKroger has always been a go to for my family because of quality and pricing. I had a question about my receipt so I called the store. I was pleasant per usual as I’m a fine believer of the golden rule. After speaking to a customer service representative, I was connected to the most confrontational and impolite person I’ve ever spoken with. The manager I was connected to approached the call with the most disdainful, distasteful and rude tone. I will go to any other quality grocery company versus returning to Kroger due to this person. If you’re in a position of leadership, you don’t speak to anyone in a combative manner, nor do you make them feel uncomfortable for simply asking a question. A refund was not the goal, but understanding the difference between my pricing versus someone else’s was the only thing on my agenda. Lastly, you Never know who you’re speaking to. Everyone deserves respect if it’s given. She didn’t state her name unfortunately and the call ended rather...
