Amigos in Hilton Head and Bluffton have very good food, but there’s a huge difference between the management in Hilton Head and this one. It is worth it to make the drive over to the island and experience amazing customer service (and even better quality of food) vs what you will experience at the one in Bluffton if the manager is working. I can’t think of any other word to describe the customer service we were given from her each time other than just plain nasty. I’ve bitten my tongue time and time again, but today I decided to speak up. I calmly confronted her (the manager) and asked her why she was always rude to people. Her response was “it’s just my personality.” I told her that’s no excuse to treat people the way she does. Personality or not, it’s a choice to be that level of rude. We love supporting local, but it makes us sad that we stay clear of this place simply because of the rudeness. I hope the manager can either have a change of heart with how she chooses to interact with her customers, or pass this off to someone who knows what hospitality looks like. No matter how good the food is, the manager/owner is the face of the business, and this location desperately needs new management. Just click on every one star review and you will see each one is in regard to the customer service pertaining to her.

Read moreI recently dined at Amigos in Bluffton (today), and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory due to the service. The server behind the bar, an older Hispanic man who took my order, was noticeably rude and unwelcoming from the moment we began ordering. Anytime my friends and I had a request, he responded with an attitude. Unfortunately, his demeanor did not improve as the evening progressed.
After we sat down, I politely asked if we could have chips and salsa for happy hour. He said “yes” and brought out the chips and salsa. However, as we were leaving, he rudely yelled, “2.16!!” Confused, I responded, “excuse me?” He continued to say, “2.16!! For the chips and salsa.” When I mentioned that I thought it was happy hour, he replied, “yes, but you didn’t order them beforehand.” While I don’t mind paying for the chips, the way he yelled in front of the whole restaurant was incredibly rude.
It's a shame because I love Amigos in Hilton Head. This was my first time visiting Amigos in Bluffton, and it will be my last. The Hilton Head location may be a drive, but it’s well worth it for the great customer service and...
Read moreI wish I could give this location no stars. This was my first time at this location and my impression was anything but good. To begin, the front woman (short with reddish hair) at the cash register probably never had any customer service experience in her life. I kindly asked her if I could split my bill and immediately she told me no with a nasty look on her face. When I explained to her the reason why, she publicly humiliated me in front of everyone waiting to either pick up or place an order. I have worked in the restaurant business for many years and had people ask me to split bills for WAY LESS than what my total was and I did so without judgment. Secondly, the food was mediocre. There was barely any meat in my meal and soggy like it had been sitting there for 20 minutes or more. Mind you we picked the order up during the time frame they had told us. The food lacked flavor and should not even be considered Mexican. If the customer service is that bad, the food should at least make up for it. This place has nothing...
