We have previously been to Truffles for lunch & enjoyed it. So we brought friends there for dinner who had never been there. They loved it! I had the meatloaf which was hadns down the best meatloaf I ever had. Others Had BLT Salad, Fish of the Day (Mahi) and Caesar Salad with grilled shrimp. All raved about how good th food was. Our waitress, Meghan, Was ver good as well and the hostess stopped by a few times to refill water glasses as well. Our guests had pear martinis & enjoyed them (dry January for meso I can't comment on drinks). We were seated in the right dining room with the front wall all winndows. Very nice but chilly; glad I had a jacket with me. We really enjoyed that room though because it was more quiet than the center dining room and we needed to have a deep conversation so that worked. My husband said that next time we go we need to be sure to request that dining room. Two had desserts (key lime pie & Oreo pie) and enjoyed them. Delious bread & herbed butter served before dinner. We will definitely be back when we live here full time (building a house...
Read moreHello, recently I came in for an interview as a cook. I found that the manager was very negative. She'd say things like "but are you experienced at this... or this or this...". I prefer a more positive approach to interviewing a candidate. If I have experience at home with the grill but not in a restaurant, why was this not important? If I have experience with an oven, why could I not try the grill? I also see there are all kinds of openings available. Why, if she thought I would not be suitable for a position as a cook, could I not do hosting? Or dishwashing? Or serving? Or even as Manager? I have enough experience to be a manager, as I have worked all possible positions in the restaurant. I think the manager I spoke with is a negative person to not capitalize on my skills in the kitchen or any other of my business experiences. I prefer positivity and forward thinking coworkers. If she did not choose me then I just as well not work with negative...
Read moreTerrible. I just took down my 5 star review for this place. Went in for a birthday party that we typically have at this location every year solely because of the private rooms. We are a loud group, always have been and try to be considerate of that by getting the private room. Service was terrible, managers were terrible. The waitress told the manager that she couldn't keep up and instead of the managers stepping up and helping or getting us a more experienced server, they decided to try to rush us out. When that didn't work they made up a reason to suggestively kick us out by surprising us with news that we had been "cut off" after 3 drinks which most of the party hadn't even had yet. In past years we've typically had amazing experiences so not really sure what's up Truffles. We will not be back as a group or individually. The ineptitude of the staff, management and owner in handling the situation is what was...
