Went yesterday Oct 31st to FAU Stadium with a group of people and I can say it has been the WORSE experience I've ever experienced in my life in every way possible from the moment I parked to the moment I left. To start off, the parking lot is really far from the stadium so we had to get this shuttle that took a while to take us to the stadium and back to the car after the game was over, the staff flat out sucked they were rude and uninformed. Asked about where will be the shuttle be found and FAU staff had no clue had to ask a couple of police officers and they were the ones who knew. You have a better chance getting treated and acknowledged better at a Flea Market than at FAU. Don't let me get started on the fans, THEY SUCK! In every way you can possibly think of, they're rude, disgusting, offensive, cruel, drunks, and aggressive. Just because you get fans from the visiting team at your stadium doesn't give you the right to verbally and physically hurt them and use cuss words in front of women and children! In any football game you go to there's ALWAYS going to be an a opponent that's the whole point of playing and there's ALWAYS going to be fans for both teams so it's very arrogant and immature to believe that just because you play at home the opponents fans can't go to your stadium just because we don't root for the home team. FAU should be thrilled that opponent team fans go to their stadium buy tickets and food there which all those funds go to their university. We drove an hour to get there and paid for the tickets to have a good time independently of who won not only did we waste our money and time for nothing but we went just to be offended and that doesn't seem fair. Even when half time rolled around and we went to the concessions there was a crowd of people telling us to "F**K OURSELVES" it was out of control we didn't have one minute of peace throughout the whole game. There's a difference between not liking your opponent and disliking the TEAM and insulting, hurting, and cussing out the fans is another thing totally different. Oh and by the way my group wasn't the only group being harassed they were many others that me and my group were a witness of. That's not a sportsman like conduct, the fans have no respect for their team or for the others, because what does their behavior say? For what I experienced, their behavior is immature, childish, foolish, rude, disgusting, and they looked like bunch of wild animals that live in the wild and have never seen civilization. This is NOT my first time I go to my opponents home and I have NEVER had this issue before, I'm not the complaining type but I just had such a miserable time that I had to speak my mind because today this happened to me tomorrow it can be someone else with a shorter temper and really bad physical things can happen. I paid to get into FAU just like everyone else my money isn't worth any less than ANY FAU fans and I DIDN'T get my money's worth at all. All I got was being harassed and had a piss poor of a time. Another thing I wanted to mention, on the FAU's website they say that the visiting team fans seating is Section 121 it is NOT, it's Section 125 - 127 right behind the visiting teams sideline DO NOT sit in Section 121 as you're going to sit right next to the student section and you're going to have a terrible time! Overall, FAU just proved to us that not only do their football team suck as they're only 2-6 but their fans SUCK they've got one crappy as fan base they're soar losers and they showed how little faith and respect they have for their team that they need to insult others to feel good about themselves. FAU YOU SUCKED IN THE PAST, YOU SUCK NOW, AND IN THE FUTURE YOU WILL...
Read moreOf all the college football stadiums in Florida, this may be the best. Only the colleges that play in NFL stadiums (USF, Miami) have better gametime facilities for their home games. We visited here for the Boca Raton Bowl game and were impressed with Howard Schnellenberger field at FAU. Sideline seating was on benches with backrests and chairback seats, not bleachers. The structure was solid and didn't shake when fans stomped around. It was easy to move around and get to concession and rest room areas. My critique was that parking was disorganized and crowd control at the gate was lacking. Also concession lines were very long and beverages ran out by halftime.... No beer, then no bottled water. Thankfully it was a night game in December and there were no...
Read moreStadium was nice, very clean. Gotta get a jumbo pretzel! The CSC staff was not very helpful in navigating the stadium. If you're bringing a baby and a stroller, you should know you're not allowed to bring a stroller to your seat. You have to check it- even if you're on the Hyundai deck. Also know that you need your diaper bag checked in a specific (not labeled) line. And, the baby must be present to prove you need the diaper bag. So if your mother in law went ahead with the baby- she'll need to come back lol. We were in the Hyundai deck, which was GREAT with a toddler because there was room for her to run. Great...
