I just have to write this because everyone else reviewing is apparently talking about a different Park than this one. It’s not quiet, or clean, or pleasant. If you come the right time of day and the right season and it’s rained a lot recently it can be nice. The rest of the year it’s loud because it’s next to the two busiest roads in town. It’s dirty because when it hasn’t rained like it usually doesn’t it’s dirty and green and you can see the mold literally growing on the turtles. Oh and the ducks poop everywhere because people keep feeding them even though it’s bad for them. Oh and good luck parking since it’s parallel and next to a road that never has a break so you either have to risk death or block traffic. So yeah not exactly picturesque. But in the spring after the rains it’s actually kinda nice minus all the massive amounts people...
Read moreSomething about this place just draws people. On paper it's nothing great. It's rather small with a sidewalk and some tables. The main draw is the river where you can fish and get a good look at turtles swimming around and a good number of ducks and geese asking for food. Doesn't seem like much but it's a really nice place that my kids always ask to go visit and I'm always happy to take them. Read moreDecent linear park. Unless there was recent heavy rainfall, the Cibolo is usually pretty stagnant. Ample signage indicates Do NOT feed the ducks and other water fowl. Doing so contributes to the unwanted domestication of wild animals, degrades water quality, and leads to health issues like Angel wing syndrome.
Do not feed the ducks, geese, etc. They do not need your handouts. City workers have to oil the eggs every so often to keep their population...
