Absolutely LOVED their street tacos. Came in for a quick lunch with our family during coronagate 2020. We were on spring break and making the best of our trip. Just loved it. The kids all got breakfast tacos that they devoured. I had the pork street tacos which I loved. I tried my dad’s beef street tacos which were also great. But aside from the well-marinate meat that’s comes on these tacos, the star, for me, was the tortilla. They’re corn (duh, because street tacos) which I normally don’t love, but these were excellent. They were texturally the best I’ve had (in my gringa opinion). A bit yellow in color, I’m guessing they are on the eggy side which I apparently like. Each table has two hot sauces to choose from—MH loved the green best. And his guisado taco was excellent as well—this one on flour and from the breakfast list. Super juicy and flavorful. Anyway, no one had a bad thing to say. We really enjoyed our tacos. The ambience here was also great. Comfortable and casual but clean and refreshing. The staff is friendly. They did a great job converting this old house. They’re only open for breakfast and lunch, so get here before they close at 2. Accessibility note: For an old house, this has great accessibility. The tables are fairly spaced out and there are three entrances. Plenty of room to get around.

AMAZING! We were traveling thru town and wanted a quick bite, so decided to give this place a try since we were already downtown. Was great that they had parking next to the building and we found a spot. Great menu. Decided to try the street tacos. I got the beef, husband got the chicken. And we also tried the queso and guacamole. The complimentary chips & salsa while dining in were a nice perk and tasted phenomenal! The salsa tasted fresh & smoky. A lot of depth of flavor. Our food came out quickly even though they were busy. The staff were all friendly & helpful. We eat ALOT of Mexican food lol. I must say, these are the best street tacos we’ve had. A simple item, but easily lackluster at a lot of places. The beef was perfectly flavored and plentiful. The chicken had a little kick and was cooked spot on as well. The guac was fresh and yummy & the queso was top notch -thick, flavorful. If you are able to check this place out - you will not be disappointed! IT WAS AMAZING!!

Let me say first that the food was excellent. I ordered the House Burrito 15 with chicken. Please read the description in the photo. I ask for the Fajita Option for an additional $3.00. The food came out in a reasonable time. I took my first bite and it was good. Second bite produced a piece of fajita beef. I took my meal back to the counter and stated I had ordered “fajita chicken.”The girl behind the counter stated they do not have “fajita chicken.” She had a small attitude. I showed her the menu. She stated “I’ll just bring you a chicken burrito” and then walked off. My new chicken burrito came out and it was very good. The product and the atmosphere were great. The menu is misleading concerning the “Fajita Option.” I think the counter service needs some attention and the menu needs to be corrected.

So much better than I expected, lol! We came here the other day because we were desperately hungry in Boerne, and when we showed up at another, fancier Mexican restaurant, they chased us away because they were doing repairs. Boerne Taco House is definitely not fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, casual, yet customer-oriented, and serves up some solid food. Excellent quality, big portions. House salsa and chips are super-yummy. My husband had the tostada plate - everything was fresh and tasty - and I had La Pirata because I wanted to test the rice and beans. OMG...the tacos on La Pirata plate were to die for. I seriously think about them every day, and can't wait to go back. FYI, I can eat a LOT, but after chowing on the excellent chips and salsa, I could only eat one taco, and half the rice and beans. I wasn't too sure how good that taco would be reheated at home, but I heated it in a pan on the stove, not the microwave, and it was amazing! If I lived closer, I would go 2 or 3 times a week, and spend the other days at home trying to duplicate...
