Fossil Farms - Farm Raised Game & All Natural Meats — Attraction in Boonton

I'm a professional chef, formerly from Watertown Ma., who has been a client with Lance and Fossil Farms for over twenty-five years, during which time I ordered hundreds of pounds of their game. I have never, EVER, complained about the quality of their meats. They're impeccable!

This was my first visit to their retail outlet, and trust me, it's a cook's delight. It's located just five minutes off of 287, which is SO convenient. If you're traveling North-South from, or to, New England or Mid -Atlantic states, it's easily accessible. We stopped there on Friday November 10, 2023. The manager was terrific, explaining everything and pointing us in the right directions.

We were planning an Early-Thanksgiving dinner, and wanted something more than the usual turkey, blah, blah, blah. The elk was a real buy, but the 6oz Ostrich Steaks were the real star of the meal. I've been enjoying Fossil Farms ostrich for decades, literally, and it remains the best, repeat THE BEST, game meat I've ever tasted! Everyone else agreed.

I regret that I hadn't planned on preparing a Charcuterie board for the party, because they also carry a wonderful array of cured or smoked meats, plus cheese, plus condiments. A little Duck Prosciutto, some Venison Jerky... You get the picture.

If, for a moment, you think that their retail prices are high, trust me, they're not. Every piece of meat is perfectly trimmed and 100% protein. And the flavors are amazing. Highly...

Fossil Farms catered our wedding this month and did a phenomenal job! Our wedding was held outside at a private residence on Lake Hopatcong and ensuring the offsite catering (both the food and service) ran smoothly was critical for this plated, sit down event of 130 people. Ben and Liz worked with us through all the details leading up to the event and did an awesome job the day of. Our guests loved the creative passed hors d'oeuvres (Gazpacho Shooter, Bison Steak Tartare etc.) during cocktail hour.
