Unfortunately, this facility is not at the least deserving of a 1-star rating. I am sad to write that the owner of Hot Wheels Skating Rink, John has proven to operate in a culture that lacks respect for its customers and fails to acknowledge, accept, and correct mistakes made at the customerās expense. A close friend of mine booked 2 rooms for her 4-year-old daughterās birthday party which I attended with my niece. This was done to ensure all 20 kids that were invited, along with their parent(s) were accommodated. We arrived at the facility early to help my friend's daughter prepare for the party, and to our dismay there was only 1 room available after properly preparing, planning, and paying for two rooms. This issue was brought to the owner, Johnās attention before all guests arrived in hopes of quickly resolving the matter. When my friend's daughter humbly reached out to John asking if an additional room would be provided, he rudely dismissed her and made not one single attempt to provide an additional room or make any other accommodations. My friendās daughter or no one made a big fuss about the issue. We all respectfully gathered in the room provided and did not make any other mentions of the issue. My friendās daughter agreed with myself and other adults that she should follow up on the matter with John the following business day in hopes of a refund for the 2nd room that was paid for. It was obvious John did not care about the customer experience when we met him during the time of the party so it was understood that my friendās daughter would not waste her time and energy expounding on any other concerns during the phone call. After my friendās daughter followed up the following day John was very rude, and dismissive and showed no accountability for the error. I am so surprised that Hot Wheels Skating Rink is still in business due to the poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and accountability shown by the owner. Customer Service is one of the most important parts of running a business, and it can make or break a businessās reputation and significantly impact the bottom line. It is very clear and evident that John does not put any attention to providing his customers with a great customer experience. Or maybe John is very selective with the customers that he respects and offers quality...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThinking about having your child's party here?Think again. When we arrived, we told us we could have a seat at the tables or skate until our party room became available. No problem, we were told that in advance. The problem started when we were called over an hour later over the intercom that you can only hear if you are skating. We had random kids go into our party room that started eating the pizza that was already set out on plates!? My daughter goes to the room and realizes we are not there, but some of her friends are in there eating pizza with some other kids she did not know. She immediately came and got me so we gathered the gifts and cake, heading to the room. I kicked out 4 kids who did not belong and went to concessions to tell them we needed another pizza because they were going plate to plate eating, and my guest had 3 slices. Jumping ahead to paying the bill. I was charged half the price for the original pizza left on the tables. I was charged for a 1 year old and a 2 year old that accompanied their parent bringing a sibling to the party. The manager states that because they walked in and were not carried in, they had to be considered part of the party. When we were told this, we figured let's get them skates since we are being charged for them. Of course, they do not have skates small enough to fit them.š¤ But I was still charged. My takeaway from this is experience, never book the party room. We will choose differently next year. Unfortunately, I had to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk so we gave this place another try after a year. Disgusting as ever. Only good thing is they have newer skates. My opinion has not changed at all this place is gross. That really sums it up. The following is my original review a year previous to this one. Hot wheels in Bossier is unfortunately very disappointing. When you walk in the smell hits you, sweaty feet & moldy stench. The place is outdated & dirty. The skates are old, laces broken, wheels that are covered in gum and who knows what. The snack bar could do with a good cleanup. The rink floor is warped in spots there have been wads of gum, bouncy balls, other small items on the floor to dodge as you skate. Then the lack of supervision is ridiculous, there is no worker on the floor to monitor the skaters, I have seen people zoom by so quickly and close to other skaters they knocked them down, a woman spinning, leaping and skating as if she were in the ice skating rink with no regard to others around her, I have watched small children (3-10 yo) lay on the floor so older children (12-17yo) skate down the center, end to end, again no regard for anyone else skating and jump over these as these young kids lay side by side in the middle of the skate floor. This place is unsafe and unclean. However, has great potential, I hope that the owners one day will cleanup and run this place safely...
