Churches We Know. Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. It is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston in Massachusetts. It is one of the largest Catholic churches in New England. On October 1, 1979, Pope John Paul II held a 38-minute prayer service for 2,000 priests in the cathedral during his first papal visit to the United States. His chair is displayed inside the Cathedral. He celebrated a Mass at Boston Common during his 1979 visit to Boston. This was his first Mass in the United States. The event took place on October 1, 1979, and drew a large crowd despite the rainy weather, visit to Boston in 1979. This was his first Mass in the United States. The event took place on October 1st and drew an estimated 400,000 people, despite a rainstorm. I arrived in the morning to have a good spot to attend this Mass. It was great to see the Pope. Today we remember this historic Mass. We are blessed. #ChurchesWeKnow #abuelosmochileros_boston #abuelosmochileros_churches

This is a beautiful, spacious Cathedral! The stained glass windows are exquisite. The stations of the cross are wonderfully portrayed as well. They have an amazing amount of lovely flowers for Easter too. There is also a beautiful chapel. How wonderful. Gloria in excelsis Deo! It is difficult to find street parking in the city of Boston. We went to a parking ramp and walked to the Cathedral. It was worth paying a few dollars to visit Our Lord and pray here. O Sacrament most holy, O sacrament divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine 🙏 All ye holy angels and saints of God, ora pro nobis!

Juan Pablo, thank you for sharing your input. The Cathedral of the Holy Cross is open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. until at least 6 p.m. Our limited resources make it difficult to be open late at night, but we will continue to evaluate this possibility in the future. Thank you.

Thats not true, sorry, I use to hola nevera weekday after my work to pray and always. At 2- 3- 4 pm its completely closed the Cathedral and I'm looking for someone and no one is over there.

Please don't tell people not true estates. I try always to come in and it's close the big and nice Boston cathedral. I would love to know inside, I ca not get there on weekends .

Specify the real schedule or not try to be diplomatic and polite with saying you are open all days from 9 to 18 that's not true, cI least you have open other maybe little back door. Not the main and beautiful entrance in Washington st. Thank you so much. God bless and helps you. Happy new year. Let please the prayers come into the nice cathedral that you have in this pretty...

I did an internship for a very brief time frame Catholic Charities which is located in the side basement of the church. I have walked inside the church and it is very clean in the main halls. If your new to the area and plan on attending the Cathedral, parking may be a bit tricky as it is street parking.. if you are planning to go have a coffee before Mass you have to do some walking although there is some privately owned restaurants in the immediate area. For those worried about the projects next door, as a white who walked by them every day, I never had a problem. It is not a big area actually. The food pantry is open on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and be there by 12 or you run the risk of getting the bottom of the barrel . Please bring your own bags.if you are new, once you are registered, you are allowed to come twice a month. Please bring a valid I.Dand a proof of address,...
