Codman Square Branch of the Boston Public Library — Attraction in Boston

I love this library because I practically grew up here. However, about a month ago I had asked the staff and had met with the head librarian about a cooking class I wanted to give for the local community. I was met with resistance and told the space was for organizations and basically not for the community. I was told to fill out the proper paperwork to request the room and that someone would call me. Well today would have been the event and I have tried twice since last month to inquire if my cooking classes had been approved. Not one person called nor did I get any response to my application for the use of the space. I am disappointed with the head staff because healthy food education is very much needed in my community and I was also doing thia free of charge and footing the bill. Want to go to a quiet library with nice and responsible staff members? DON'T GO HERE. When I enter the library, the security guard is already following me around the library and is actively looking over my shoulder. The librarians looks like they don't want to be there and will make it seem like it's a inconvenience when you ask any questions. From open to close, there's constantly a ton noise and commotions where even music is being played in the open. Children and teenagers running around and cursing at each other while the librarians do nothing about it. In several occasions, I have seen teens and children practicing punching & hooking at each other in the middle of the library. They clearly don't clean any of the desk, tables, and chairs since anything that was on it the previous day would also be there for the next few days.
