Okay I have witnessed this a couple of times from this restaurant don’t get me wrong the food is delicious but for the first day of purchase. Reason being: I bought 25 dollars worth of food oxtail and brown stewed chicken white rice rice and peas.
To my acknowledgment: this morning waking up to heat up my food for work, the food which was in the refrigerator had a foul smell like it was spoiled. This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed this and I am baffled why food cooked and served to loyal customers would smell so foully after 1 day of purchase.
At this time, I would like to return the oxtails but I noticed yesterday a customer asked for dumplings which they have prepared in the back but only give it to Jamician speaking customers.
At this point I would not suggest or refer any of my friends or colleagues from work to this restaurant because of these distracting reasons.
I hope they consider cooking their food instead of storing old foods to only rehaeat, seasoned and serve it out to customers. Meats cooked and stored for weeks and heated to serve is still consider unhygienic and unhealthy. It’s not primarily cooked to order it is prepared a week then stored and reheated.
It’s unhumanily wrong and I really hope ONLY ONE JAMICIAN RESTAURANT could pick up their slack and make great food for their loyal customers.
Like white rice and chicken should not smell spoiled after 1 day not even a day because I bought it last night June 27th at 9:30 pm!

Read moreWe have been going to only One on Norfolk St. for years. However, when we noticed there was a new location in Hyde Park, we decided to check them out l. the food is good at one point the servers were great. But, for some reason The servers had an Attitude today. My daughter dropped her soup by accident as she was walking out of the establishment. When she went back in to figure out what she should do, One staff member went to another and said what does she want, When the service should I ask my daughter directly can I help you what can we do. The survey instantly gave my daughter attitude when my daughter said to her I drop my soup. Moving forward we will continue I’m going to the Norfolk restaurant address no one needs this nonsense an attitude. The more pressing things that are going on right now meaning the pandemic that we don’t need attitude when we’re keeping your business going. If I was able to not give it a star I would have. Just for...
Read moreMy first time here to get some take out food. Totally impressed. 5 Stars! Got 2 large dinner plates. Curry Goat : AMAZEBALLS! So good. No words. Oxtail: given my first time, trying Oxtail, so glad I did. Now officially hooked
The Staff - If I had a restaurant of my own, that would be my criteria to hire staff as good as they are here. I never bring my ID when I need to use my credit card. The wonderful girl who was taking the order - she said next time don’t forget - when I apologized for leaving my ID in the car. And took my order. A simple smile made my day! Thank you.
At the pick up : another sweetest soul asked if I could wait 5 minutes while the boiled cabbage is ready. I didn’t think twice.
The last time I had Jamaican food was in Atlanta earlier this year while there for Super Bowl. I had Goat Curry then - to honor the Goat TB12. I did that again last night. So happy. I am a fan. Will be standing in the line to get their awesome...
