I went to St. Elizabeth’s while visiting Boston on Christmas Eve night. I was in a lot of abdominal pain, having the worst cramp I’ve ever had in my life, vomiting and very weak. Just to be clear how bad I was, the ambulance took me there. Once I arrived they put me in the emergency room and there I stayed for a long time before someone came to see me. The nurse was very impatient, she was asking me what was my height and weight while I had my mouth inside the bag vomiting, I couldn’t answer her because I was VOMITING A LOT, I didn’t have the strength to answer her, and she was asking again VERY IMPATIENT. After I answer her, she left and I waited a long time again to see a doctor, who was actually really nice and kind with me. The nurse came back with medication and that was the most horrible time for me, she couldn’t find mt vein (which is fine, I was very dehydrated and weak), and went the said “I found it” and poked me with the needle, I feel like she lost the vein again, and it was poking me with the needle inside my arm. It was horrible, I could feel her poking my vain in a very weird way. And my arm was so sore after that day, it also had a little lump, I had to put ice on it for 2 days to get better. The nurse was also very rude with people that was waiting for me at the emergency reception. I sent a review directly to St Elizabeth’s website and nobody answer me or contact me at least to say they are sorry about my experience there, so I guess they really don’t care about people. Here’s a picture of my arm 5 days after getting treatment there, I’m happy I don’t live in Boston and don’t need to go there anymore.

Not a great hospital experience. Husband went into Emergency Department and had to get an appendectomy. The aftercare at the hospital was not great; he did not feel like the nurses or doctor were very attentive to his needs. For his follow-up appointment, the doctor was not at all familiar with his chart and kept trying to insinuate he was after opiods (he took exactly what was prescribed and didn't even get refills). It really did not instill any level of confidence in the staff. For example, the doctor asked why he was back for a checkup so soon, when they were the ones that setup the follow-up appointment date. Also, when I tried to call to get information after his surgery, nobody answered the main patient lines. When they finally did pick up and transfer me to the nurses station, I was hung up on multiple times. I was calling for about 2-3 hours and never got through. I finally got through, was told they'd call me back, and they never did. To sum it up, the picture of the exam room where he had his follow-up appointment is a pretty accurate representation of the experience he had. 🤮 If you haven't lost a limb, maybe drive to another hospital....

I had an unexpected triple bypass here. Everyone was so nice. Making me feel as comfortable as I could. They definitely know what they're doing. I was home in a week My surgeon was Dr. Stanley Tam. He's not just an amazing miracle worker but a truly nice person. If you have to have heart surgery get him! 🧑⚕️🚑🏥🥼♥️☯️
