One of the most disappointing library experiences I’ve had. If you’re looking for a quiet place to read, study, or reflect, this is not it. The noise level is astonishing — not just from patrons, but from the librarians themselves, who not only allow loud, disruptive behavior but actively contribute to it.
It’s disheartening to see those entrusted with upholding a space of learning and respect showing so little regard for those standards. Instead of fostering an environment that encourages focus and mutual respect, they seem to have resigned themselves — or worse, chosen — to lower the bar entirely.

Read moreThe Uphams Corner Branch of the Boston Public Library is one of those places where I was surprised to find it bigger and more resourceful than I expected.
At first glance, the building might seem a bit smaller. But when you're actually inside the library, looking at the collection and exploring the basement, it definitely feels like a great place to study.
The staff were so friendly and nice – it was a great experience! I also got a limited-edition magnet for visiting 11 Boston branches, which was a nice bonus.
Definitely going to be here more often. If it was just a tiny bit quieter, it would be perfect...
Read moreNice tiny library with great customer service! Staff is soooooo helpful and nice! There are not tooo many areas to sit down but if you need to study or work it will serve very well. There is a strong wifi and there is an area with ~6 desktops. I will certainly return if I need a quick stop.
