Canton House — Restaurant in Boston

Great, clean oriental cuisine. Fairly priced. (3 years ago)! Now in 2025 I have an issue because I just called to ask about a price difference if I had ordered a combination plate instead of everything separate because I don't like my stuff smushed together in a plate and the lady over the phone had a big problem with that as she told me hold on and I just asked you what you wanted then yelled in her language at the guy in the back to see what he's going to charge me for the difference. This is out of control and out of order it wasn't that serious and as I asked her to please stop arguing with me I just want to know what the difference is I didn't have a problem with anything I just wanted to know because I don't want to spend a whole lot of money for a couple of items. I'm a business manager by trade and I have excellence and customer service for over 20 years over 25 years and that is disrespectful you don't talk to your customers any kind of way I'm paying for the food. I have the right to change my mind or any ideas I have about my order it's my money and I'm paying you so you can be in service to make your food that's really not top notch but I have enjoyed it over the years sparingly. I really considered canceling this order and, this would have been the first ever because I didn't like the rudeness of the order taker. You need to check your attitude and you don't argue with customers hopefully nobody spit or shit in my food or did some kind of craziness and I'm serious about that cuz if I get sick it's definitely on you!

I ordered a pupu platter for 2 lobster sauce salt and pepper shrimp and a white rice..🤔😢I feel like my food was rushed. salt and pepper shrimp look like battered fish, it's horrible when I bit it the top of my mouth started breaking out itching they must have put something I'm allergic to in it, by the way I always eat salt and pepper shrimp. The fried shrimp is doughy the only thing okay is the chicken finger. The crab rangoon is trash too and whoever said the egg rolls are bomb they lied😵. Their pork fried rice looks mushy, the chicken wings are okay if you're starving👅😑 I asked my son how's the crab rangoon he said it's okay it's not like Imperial Kitchen or triple Eatery meaning it's okay because he ate it. I DK why but the white rice smells like bleach I hope I don't die🤢💀 anywho that was my first time ordering and that is my review April 12th 2018 pics too...PS the Duck Sauce is wack 2. Anyone who said that this food is bomb what is a motherfuking lie!!!!!!!!!! I called earlier to ask specifically if they accept cards over the phone. The guy said yes.

I called to place my order and asked for pick up and was about to give my number. They said they can't take card over the phone for pick up only delivery. Umm Why? The guy states there's a lot of scams going on. So I ask what's the difference if I get delivery using my card or pick up with my card bring used over the phone. He had no explanation. I stated that either way if I was scamming you I would still get the food if you came to the house or not. He spoke Mandrin to someone and said the manager won't let him.
