I always get treated well at this GameStop location. I am always greeted with a “hello” when I walk in and asked if I need any help with anything.
The ONLY issue I have with all the GameStop’s I’ve ever visited is the lack of older video games!
It’s called “GameStop” and yet none of them no longer sell ANYTHING older than Playstation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch…
I know I can get some older games on their website, but I miss having video game stores where you could go hang out and kill some time while your significant other is getting a haircut or something. Look through old games and video game related items and have some old consoles set up to play games with strangers and make a new friend that you can hook up with later on and play online with or something.
Just that feeling of having a cool, safe and fun place to go and find an old Super Nintendo game you’ve never played before and someone else telling you how great the game you’re about to purchase is.
Don’t get mr wrong, I’ve NEVER felt like I was rushed to buy something and leave any GameStop and this one is my home store and the one I enjoy going to. It would just be nice to have the older stuff, but I also get it as well…
I’m sure they can’t make money when there’s older games like “Super Mario RPG” selling online for $100 and no one is gonna bring in a game like that and sell it to them for $50 and then GameStop turn around and sell it for $75!
It just sucks that certain games become more obscure from collectors and the price goes up then people covet the game because they paid so much for it and someone like myself who played it as a kid can’t play it on original hardware because no one wants to get rid of the game!
That’s just the collector’s, so imagine the people who are buying them just to flip and make money on just as the PS5 and Xbox Series!
Anyways, I’ve gotten WAY off topic!
This GameStop is pretty good and the people who work here are very friendly and very helpful.
What can I say!?...
Read moreI'm really disappointed. I shop here for my son and husband all the time, so when I got 2 games and a ps3, spent nearly $200 bucks, I thought I would have no problems. Both disks were dirty, sticky & gross looking, we had to clean both games, haven't play them yet, but if they don't work, I will return. The ps3 was a mess, it was dirty, the charging cord looked like a dog chewed on it and not all cords were there, we returned it and got the money back. Decided to go to the gamestop in the mall for a ps3, even a bigger mistake! Got it home, and it had dog hair and dust piled in the cracks of the console, it smelt bad, had a odor and to make things even better, the side piece of the ps3 fell off.. turns out, the pieces that hold it on were completely broken. (You would think, that's something they would of noticed) Not only was this the second wasted trip to a gamestop, but a waste of time as well. I probably won't shop at either locations anymore due to this bull. I thought these things were suppose to be checked out before letting someone buy them? I got my friend a ps3 from here about 3 years ago and never had an issue with it. Still have it and it...
Read moreI have a Pro membership and have been ordering the majority of my games from Gamestop for years now, but I cannot warn people enough to avoid this store specifically!
The management has changed in the last year or so and I've had two instances of going to pickup pre-ordered games where I've left without the game. The first time, the employee put the demo case (aka the case that doesn't actually have a game in it) in my bag without me noticing. When I got home and realized what had happened, they made me come back in, borderline accused me of stealing, and made my husband and I wait inside for almost 20 minutes while they solved THEIR inventory problem so I could have the real game that I ALREADY PAID FOR.
The second experience was today where my husband went in to pick up our pre-order just to be told the store shows inventory in the system but hasn't received any physical games in.... and it took us going in to the store and wasting time just to have to go somewhere else.
Long story long, use another Game Stop location or get your games somewhere else. This store is being run terribly, I feel for the poor employees working...
