Bozeman Pond — Attraction in Bozeman

The Bozeman pond is a pretty big pond. That at one time was used as a gravel pit. Now it has a lot to offer anyone eager to get outside. And several amenities like picnic tables to sit at or eat lunch, also onsite trash containers, and bathrooms. The trails east of the pond offer spectacular bird sightings. There have been 220 bird species that have been recorded thus far. But if birds aren't your thing, there's also easy trails to walk. During summer enjoy a sandy beach that even has volleyball net. Pretty cool place. Good fishing for bass, perch, trout, carp, and bluegill. The perch and bass are tiny, the trout and bluegill are average, and the carp are massive. Live bait works best. Lures guarantee trout, and flies work okay. A cool feature is the “island” which is a spot in the middle of the lake about a foot underwater. We regularly go for the convenience, its built on a landfill so kinda really gross.. . Would we recommend? Not really it always packed. Usually with a few families blast8ng music and getting hammered with no consideration on any one else there.
