Famous Wok — Restaurant in Bozeman

I really like the food here. I am from Hangzhou, China, and I've been in Bozeman since 6 years ago and they have the real Chinese food. I had all kinds of Chinese food here many times but those are all American Chinese food. Those are not the real Chinese food. But this restaurant has very good tasting real Chinese food. Especially from the special menu. DON'T IGNORE THE SPECIAL MENU!!! When I ordered from the special menu, the chief always cooked them right after I placed the order, and it never took more than 5 minutes of waiting. And I just realized that they also started providing delivery through cafe courier now, which is exciting. I highly recommend beef fried rice and shrimp fried rice. They are yummy!!! And you really get a huge size of fried rice! Every time I get one of those fried rice from the special menu, I always have to box it and save for later. I also recommend the pad thai from the special menu, it's really good. If you want to know how the REAL Chinese food taste like, not the American Chinese, go try their food from the special menu. They are really good! And it makes me sad that not many people know about it and think they are not good. They are REAL...

I've been eating at greasy spoon American Chinese food places all over the country throughout my life. I don't eat at them often, but this one is the best in Bozeman, and closest to what I used to eat as a kid. I always order off the special order menu, and the service is fast and polite, and the atmosphere is fun, and very 80's-90's in feel being in the mall with an arcade next to it, and food court style. I guess it depends on you really. I personally can't stand all the froofy, and pretentious restaurants in Bozeman, and do not eat at them. We do however try each and every Asian food place which does open in town (Thai, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean, etc) and they are too expensive for mediocre food in most cases. Instead, I'd rather eat at this place, get some delicious food, then head over to Barnes and Noble for a coffee and some reading before heading to the movies with the kids. Food was pretty good but they gave my gf a dish that was supposed to come with chicken, beef and shrimp but when we got it it was just veggies. They charged me like $13 for a salad basically. Additionally, we called back and all they would do was replace the meal if we came back in but we are driving cross country so obviously we're not coming back anytime soon... very unfortunate. Ps. When the girl in the background realized that she made a mistake all we could hear was her laughing in the background... very nice customer service:(

Just make sure to check your food. Especially if the owner is not there to watch over...
