Sadly, this will the last time my dogs and I will visit this park. I've come off and on the last few years and have had more negative than positive experiences here. There are some great people and some great dogs. But the irresponsible owners and untrained dogs are getting too much. One of the stated rules on TWO signs is 'Be respectful of other dog owners and please communicate with others'. Today was my last straw, an owner with an intact dog with practically zero recall was constantly, every single chance he got, to mount my dog. It was getting to the point where it was excessive and impacting my dogs ability to play and enjoy himself. When politely asking the owner to regain control of their dog and to cease the mounting behavior, I was told off. I've traveled extensively and in multiple states there are ordinances and rules in parks about dogs that excessively mount. In all honesty, it should be common courtsey. Thankfully, they left shortly after the unfortunate exchange. Lewis and Clark dog park seems to have been the center of quite a few incidents and I'm done with it. It's a nice...
Read moreExcellent dog park. Was clean and well kept. Mix of field grass and sand/gravel. Huge area for your dog to explore and play. Well engineered gate latches and a nice shaded seating area for comfortable observation and socializing with other dog folk. There is a restroom onsite with a water faucet outside down low by the water fountain . Dogs love this place!
Would give it 5 stars if the dog area water fountain...
