I'll never go back here again. I used to go here for all of my suiting needs because I like to support local businesses instead of other major chains.
I've always gotten good service when I go here, except this week.
On Monday I came by around 6pm after the gym looking for a suit. No one acknowledged me when I walked in. No one bothered to help me when I was trying on suits. I then sat at the area where they do the suit fitting for 10 minutes, and again, no one came up to me. They walked by, looked at me, and kept walking. I guess a guy with tattoos And gym clothes must not be their ideal customer. I finally gave up and left since they were too busy helping other people who walked in after me.
I went by again today just to see if it was still bad. I walked in, again no one greeted me, just looked at me and kept doing their thing. Again, I'm wearing scrubby clothes since I just worked on my car.
I finally flagged down renelle(sp) and told him I needed a suit. He looks at me and said "a suit?.....) and then gives me a judgemental lol as if I couldn't afford their suits. He picks out a random suit a had me try it on. It was a little too big. Normally they're suppose to ask my price range, style, and color. None of that. He just found the closest suit he could find and tossed me over to the suit fitting guy.
I didn't even get a chance to look at other suits before this guy started fitting me. When I finally spoke up, he stated he found the closest one and if I wanted another style, then go look around. The suit fitter got frustrated because he already did the measurements. I don't blame him, there was lack of communication.
I just fed up with the whole ordeal and now I'm at men's warehouse getting the suit...
Read moreMilton's has always been my go to place for buying a suit, and updating my wardrobe. Great brands, wide selection, better prices and the best customer service, so why go any place else? Unfortunately, this past week, my father passed away. My 13 year old needed his first suit, and all the fixings...we went straight to Milton's in Braintree, and Mark, the manager, and Renel stepped right up, got him fitted, sized and into the perfect black suit separate, dress shirts and looking great in around 10 minutes (a huge win for me with a son who hates shopping, especially for the dreaded dress clothes). Fast forward 24 hours, and I go to try on my own suits and dress shirts that haven't been worn since prior to covid...jackets fit fine, and shirts are fine, minus the top buttons not wanting to close, and the pants being tighter than previously remembered. Back to Milton's for me...within 15 minutes, Mark and Mai tag teamed to get me into a stunning new Hugo Boss 2 button suit, a perfect tailored fit David Donahue purple shirt and a white shirt to get me through the wake and funeral, and Tony, the tailor, had the pants hemmed and both shirts pressed for me the next day! Running through the process at the register, Kaitlyn and Amanda were professional, smiling and quick at finalizing the transactions at the register, and getting us along to the next phase of our day. What has been a very tough few days, was made a million times easier by the entire staff at Milton's, and is why I continue to shop there whenever I'm looking to update the wardrobe. Thanks Dana, and thanks Milton's team, keep up...
Read moreI was at Milton's to buy interviewing clothes for my college-age son. He is a difficult fit,17" neck but slender build. Even the gentleman doing the alterations said finding shirts that fit was going to be tough. He tried on a couple, one of which was great but didn't come in one of the colors we needed. We had already selected over $800 worth of items we were purchasing and just needed one more shirt. As I handed him another brand shirt I was told by my salesperson that he was permitted to try on only 2 because "they didn't want to have to go through all the steps of folding and pinning the shirts to put back on display." I was DUMBFOUNDED and put back that shirt and the tie that went with it which would have added another $100 to my total. I paid and we went down to Macy's where I found the exact shirt and tie for much less $. I won't be going back to Milton's for this reason, which is too bad because it's really a great place to buy clothes for young adult males. I'll be going elsewhere with my other sons where the employees put the satisfaction of their customers above the work they'll have to do do...
