Not the place for non-whites
This hotel is the worst!! The manager/owner Raj discriminates guests who are non-white. I had so many bad experiences in less than 12hrs of my stay here and I am never going back. I suggest you find a different hotel in the area that will give you a more welcoming vibe and genuine hospitality because this place has ZERO thanks to Raj! I have never been discriminated against so bad in my life as a traveling healthcare professional.
I confronted him about the things he did to us and he tried to play it down. Even said he would call the police on us and that he can have us thrown out because I was inapproriate. Well, Raj, here's a chronological list of what you did wrong perhaps you can learn from your mistakes.
You dont start welcoming people by asking them where they are originally from just because of their skin color and attire. Not the first time somebody has asked me which I don't usually mind but the way he asked me was offensive. He was very welcoming to other Caucasian guests who arrived the same time with us. The masks, as a healthcare professional, I am all for this! He didn't ask politely to put our masks on but instead said "Where is your mask? Before you can talk to her (referring to the front desk lady)" as if he wasn't gonna check us in if we didn't which I had in my pocket and had put on right away and happily complied (most people don't even bring masks anymore). It did not take me a while to notice also that all other guests of color were diligently wearing their masks while caucasian guests were free roaming without face coverings. Which led to me to believe he only heavily enforces masks to non-whites because how to talks to people of color compared to others. (I spoke with other African-American guests at the breakfast lounge and shared the same sentiments. A caucasian man approached me too and was apologetic of what he also observed) Tried to stop us from checking our bags in until we change our car paking to face the wall. They claimed that the fumes go to their ac intakes in the office and creates a bad smell. I have a Tesla!!! Plus I saw atleast 8 more cars who were parked not facing the wall. Shooed me away from the desk with his hand gestures (instead of politely asking me to move over so other guests can check in) while me and my wife were speaking with the desk lady. I don't think he understands hand gestures can be offensive and could have used words instead which he can speak English fairly well. Raised his voiced at me in the breakfast lounge because of my attire when other people have the same attire as me, beach sandals and tank top (summer attire, plus I go to the gym). Other guests even talked to me and apologized saying that's offensive and inappropriate. He played this down and angrily said I was the one who raised his voice at him. While I was with my elderly mom and wife? Wow! Raj sent my mom away during breakfast back to her room. She is an early riser and a senior citizen. She came early to the breakfast lounge early and moves a bit slow because of her age. He said "if your done eating you should go back or go out because other people will be eating here". She wasn't done eating yet! By the way, my mom said there was another older caucasian man who was there before my mom who Raj didn't give 2 cents about. My mom was not able to talk back because she was so shocked and her english is not that good yet.
Raj, word of advice, if you're the manager or owner of this establishment, is that you find a business more suitable for you and and you're personality. You do not belong to the hotel business because you're racist, inappropriate, disrespectful and you...
Read moreWorse experience ever. My daughter booked this hotel/more like motel in advance. Received her confirmation email which also gave the supposedly final price. then called the Inn to confirm over the phone as well. Checked on the price she was given in the email and was assured that was to the total amount, so ok. This was booked for the college event my grandson goes to, the Family weekend. It was a shame to see chains I'm more familiar with raised their prices for that weekend more then double their usual rates. At any rate, check in was for Saturday at 3. While we're in town, she gets a call saying their was a problem with one of the cards for one of the rooms booked. Strange since only one card was used to book 2 rooms, so i said ok, it's almost 2 so lets go over the and get this straightened out. Before she could put her car in gear, she gets a text from her bank, showing the motel charged her the entire rate for one of the rooms. She called right back and was told that was the hold on the room. Hmmm funny since when she booked the room, the put a hold of $10, saying that was the cost of holding the rooms. So we get there, the lady at the front desk, who made the call as well as charged the card, couldn't answer not one question straight, so my daughter requested to speak with the manager. This guy comes out and begins being rude right off the bat. When he came to the desk, my daughter asked him "Are you the Manager?" His response was not professional at all. How do you handle business in such a way. At any rate during some point in the conversation he says to his front desk clerk, " So you accidentally charged her card" What the hell? When my daughter asked him what would he do about the mistake his reply was " I'm not going to do anything" Then he tried to say it was for incidentals, like if we order movies.... Bottom line was she was charged the entire cost of one room, before we even checked in. Then he says sometimes people book a room then don't show up. That would be understandable had that been after check in time, not before. Fact was he said himself she "accidentally" charged for the room. She was useless talking to, and he was extremely rude to my daughter. At some point he tried to threaten us with calling the police, but when I said please do so i can explain to them how your clerk charged my daughter when she wasn't supposed to. Of course he backed off that idea. We ended up cancelling, and had to cancel part of our weekend visit as all the hotels and motels in the 30 minute radius of the school were booked. My only satisfaction came because considering all the events going on in and around town was halfway over, he would more then likely not be able to get those two rooms booked, so now lose the money. Do not go to this hotel. When we pulled into their tiny parking lot and i saw a man on the last row, sitting on the ground throwing up, already...
Read moreI booked for a couple of days because I’m visiting friends in Boston. It’s pride and we’re going to a concert on the 10th. My flight was suppose to land early so I called to see if they had rooms available the night before. The guy who answered the phone was so rude. Huffing and puffing with a clear attitude. So when I got to Boston I ended up just walking around the city from 10am until about 2 then I called and asked if I could get a room and a lady said it would be ok. The entire parking lot was tapped off so I had to walk across to enter the building. There was no signs or directions. Finally got in the building and the lady behind the desk who was so nice on the phone instantly became so rude. I walked in saying hello she just said last name. Rolling her eyes and telling me to put a mask on. Even tho no one else had one. Not even her until I walked in. I asked about the gym. She said I couldn’t use it and that I needed permission. Then she said I couldn’t have guest. Meanwhile I just landed and got to my hotel and have friends literally on their way coming to meet me. I ended up just canceling my entire stay. I don’t have the time or space for the negative energy and evil eyes. I ended up booking somewhere else for $100 more. Oh well…
Edit: They responded saying they don’t allow visitors all through the night but I was checking in at 2:30pm… What are you suggesting!? I’m confused. The lady never said “all through the night” she said “you can’t have any visitors AT ALL.” There was never a early check in fee when I got there the lady at the front desk never mentioned one. The man on the phone the night before mentioned there would be a $80 early check in fee then I said I never paid that much for a early check in fee then he told me the fee was $50 but he would only charge me $20. Besides that I didn’t mind paying the early check in fee. The only reason I waited is because the man made it seem like it was such a huge inconvenience to him and that I was getting on his nerves by asking if a room would be available at a hotel that I’m paying my hard earned cash to stay at. This place is a scam and a lie from the pits of hell. They couldn’t have issue a refund in full because I never paid. Liars. I hope your...
