I had a HORRIBLE experience. My friend and I went for a SPA mani/pedi, at 6pm, Thursday, July 17th

I am sure this young lady is amazing, but she does NOT know how to do a mani/pedi.I was suppose to have a spa pedicure, with leg massage, hot towels, etc. I received none of that - she 'dabbed' the scrub on, only below my ankle, did not rub it in or actually use the scrub, did not put any cream on my legs, nothing. she barely pushed back my cuticles, before already starting to put color on. I had to ask her for hot towels, she proceeded to try but did not know how to place them, I had to show her. Where were the teachers? Why were they not in the room showing her and teaching her the correct way to give a pedicure? She did not want to be there! She tried to be engaging, but you could tell she was waiting on another person and that was her focus. Her attitude and body language were screaming that she did not want to be there or be doing a mani/pedi. It was a very uncomfortable experience for me.

As for the Manicure. I DID MY OWN. I cut down my nails, she tried to 'shape' the nail but did not know how. I ended up filing my own nails. Did not get a hand massage or hand cream. All she did was put clear nail polish on, thankfully I did not want color, that would have been a disaster.

She mentioned that she was not going to go into nail care, that does not matter, learn!! Learn everything about the business, strive for success. There was none of that. Again, the teachers should have intervened. Why did they not pull her aside and explain what her job was that night?

Everything was disorganized. I cannot emphasize it enough, where were the teachers or supervisors!? They should have been watching over them and explain each phase of how to do a Mani/Pedi? Nothing was ready and you would think that they would have a uniform or some form of a uniform, not street clothes and especially not a baseball cap. Very unprofessional. I blame the supervision and the school for not stepping up with their standards, and helping these girls become successful.

I should not have been charged for a SPA mani/pedi when I barely received a pedicure. Very disappointed. I would like a refund, but doubt they will offer that.

I do not advise anyone to go there, pricing is low but not worth a 2 hour disaster of...

I left the salon feeling confident and rejuvenated, knowing that my brows were in expert hands. Overall, my eyebrow waxing experience at Empire Beauty School exceeded my expectations.
