Back in December I had sold my necklace to the lady that works there due to family pet emergency. She gave me $75 for the necklace. I went back in this week in hopes to buy the necklace back. She in deed still had the necklace. She wanted to charge me $187 plus to buy the necklace. I completely get an up charge but to charge almost triple is absurd!!! Never again will I go here for one, and for two I hope they never have to make a sacrifice due to hard times and have someone like them take advantage of a bad situation! When I told her that wasn’t right that it was Jewish of her...her response was no it’s not price of gold went up... I hope they never sell the necklace and it reminds them how dirty they are to ppl with unfortunate times. I’m not a criminal my necklace was a sentimental piece but my husbands pet was just as important. Sad part the vet couldn’t save him he died three days later, and my necklace is gone. The lady that works there is a complete cheat... don’t take gold there unless you want ripped off. My opinion! You can buy it back like she said sure for an extreme up charge.. so if you see the gold 24” box chain with a gold shamrock she only paid $75 for it. Your getting ripped off if you pay her...

Bridgeport Coin and Jewelry has the lowest prices in comparison to competitors, competitors who in which pay people to leave rude comments and harass the owner, that being said, the competition fails to provide the children discounts, the holiday giveaways, and other sales that this facility provides for its customers. The owner provides information to new collectors and gives the top price for sales, reading some of these reviews, it shows me who has serious inquiries and who doesn’t understand how precious metals work, with patience and communication those who are dumbfounded would have learned from the owner but instead feel the need to leave pretty interesting hyperboles, and low reviews. First I tested them out by seeing what they offer for my gold. They will low ball you and offer 50% of the gold value in them. Thats worse pricing than the Cash 4 Gold store down the street.

The pricing at this shop is also wayyyy overpriced. Generic silver rounds are 100% (or double) over spot price (18.91) And when I mentioned spot price and their listings, they than went on to say they now aren't selling. Be careful here! As they will take advantage of you if you don't have knowledge.

I gave them a few chances and stopped in, but none of the time was even worthwhile. Don't waste your time here and drive a little further for a better coin/jewelry shop.
