I recently visited the Burger King on Wheeling Island, WV and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The only bright spot was that the food was served hot, which is always a plus. However, this was overshadowed by the fact that my food order was incorrect for the third time in a row - it seems to be a recurring issue at this particular location. Grandkids love the nuggets and the burger flavor is more like a home cooked burger.
To make matters worse, I had to go inside each time to retrieve the missing items from my order. Upon entering the restaurant, I was disappointed to find that the interior was dingy and lacked proper maintenance. The floors were dirty with food and paper products scattered around, giving off an overall unclean impression.
I couldn't help but wonder how this store manages to survive, apart from its high volume of customers. The traffic inside and through the drive-thru seemed non-stop, but it was unfortunate that the quality of service and cleanliness did not match the level of business. Frankly, I felt like I was transported back to a greasy spoon in the projects of New York - a place where the food might be good but cleanliness is an afterthought.
On a positive note, I must commend the workers at this Burger King. Despite the subpar store structure and appearance, the staff were generally good people who were kind and polite. It's a shame that their efforts are hindered by the poor overall efficiency and demeanor of the establishment.
In conclusion, while the food at this Burger King tends to be tasty and served hot, it is difficult to overlook the multiple inaccuracies in my orders, the need to constantly go inside to rectify these mistakes, and the overall dingy appearance of the restaurant. The only redeeming quality is the kind staff. I hope that management takes note of the issues and works towards improving the store's structure, cleanliness,...
Read moreThe food was okay. That's about all I will say. It's obvious that it had been sitting for a while under a warmer before we got it.
I am a stickler for customer experience and my biggest complaint was that the restroom is locked. I don't know what this establishment has gone through to make this necessary, but it ruins everything. When you have been on the road and you need a bite to eat, the first thing you need to do is go to the restroom.
I had to wait in line for I don't even know how many people to get a key for the restroom to prove that I was a paying customer before I could do my thing. I bought food this time, but I will not be returning.
I am done with any public facility that does not offer public facilities.
Here's an even nastier thing to think about. Requiring the customer to obtain a key to go to the restroom requires them to touch their private parts and then return that key to an employee. That employee is not wearing gloves, does not wash their hands, and you have no guarantee of what happened to that key when it left the front counter. This is a disgusting practice and if you are not willing to let people use the restroom in your restaurant then you don't need to own a restaurant. 10 out of 10 will not be returning out of principal. This...
Read moreHonestly I used to despise BK.. ever since the Island opened 24/7 it's become my go to ff. Prices are a bit extreme but the service for the last 3 months has been outstanding. The window cashier has been wonderful every time day or night. The food has been fresh and made exactly as it should be. Not a sloppy grease pile thrown into a wrapper like it used to be. And not once have I had to pull around and wait even at 2am which is very surprising given I had never been thru and not had to wait for something. That being because my son always orders some type of chicken. Even without the wait it's been hot and fresh. There is one girl who works late night I think is excellent at her job. The manager lady the same. Honestly I just love the crews they've had the last few months. They do a superb job and actually seem to appreciate their...
