The Artisan's Bench — Attraction in Brighton

The week before Valentines Day I decided to find a Sid Dickens tile for my wife, she loves his work. Without a second thought I took a lunch hour and drove to the boutique where we had seen them together and she told me how much she liked them. The shop had closed down the week before....... Panic set in as I had no plan b! At the time I could not for the life of me remember his name, I only knew she liked the tiles we had seen, to the Internet I went! After hours of research I finally found an example of his work and immediately recognized his style, now that I knew I was looking for Sid Dickens it seemed easy enough. Two phone calls that included more attitude toward and 'uneducated art fan' like me and I was ready to buy a dozen roses and call it a day. One last try and I stumbled onto The Artisan's Bench website, they have a convenient contact us form so I thought it would be a great way to avoid and unpleasant interaction, I could not have been more wrong! Withing minutes of submitting my request the phone rang and on the other end was the most pleasant and patient person I have encountered in retail in MANY years!!! Working in sales myself I always appreciate great customer service and Brittany was AMAZING! She took the time to help me with many ideas and suggestions, emailing me links to different pieces she thought would be right for what I was trying to do and that fit the theme. Her knowledge of the artist is amazing and her professionalism is second to none! I cannot fit into words how impressed I am with The Artisan's Bench and I will be calling again soon for more tiles! The pieces arrived as promised, gift wrapped as well and there was a very nice handwritten note to accompany them! Top to bottom the experience was amazing and so unlike the interactions I had with other boutiques/galleries, I will not go anywhere else and wholly recommenced The Artisan's Bench to all, be sure to work with...

This Christmas I discovered Artisan’s Bench when searching for Sid Dicken’s tiles on line. I was so thrilled and decided to begin my own collection of his beautiful art tiles. The staff was wonderful to work with during my own order as well as getting together an order for a Christmas present for one of my friends.
