I’m not a fan. My son has ABA therapy at home twice a week and occupational therapy at home once a week so I often try to have his therapists meet us out somewhere fun to keep him interested and get him out of the house. He’s autistic and non verbal. We went to We Rock The Spectrum to do his occupational therapy once and they charged his therapist extra. My son just turned four years old so he and his therapist are essentially just playing but with intent during his sessions, so it’s not like she’s carrying equipment around. I would have assumed that somewhere called “We Rock The Spectrum” would have discounted rates for therapists who work with children that have special needs, I was shocked when they charged her at an elevated rate. I don’t really care what their reasoning is, I don’t like it and I was extremely disappointed.
I found the rates to be expensive even for the average patron. They have a very small space with extremely limited room to play and run, they have limited and kind of rinky dink play equipment, and most of their toys are toys you’d see in the middle of your local health department’s waiting room. I’m not just saying this because of my first grievance, my other children and I didn’t find...
Read moreDecided to post my Facebook review on here as well! I feel like I could write a book about how much we loved this place and we were only here an hour. My son is autistic and absolutely hates going anywhere so I won’t lie when I say we were a little hesitant to take him here. We took him after he got out of school and he was nothing but smiles when we got back to the car! He was so comfortable here and was running around playing everywhere. I had tears in my eyes the whole time cause my baby felt completely comfortable and never tried to dart for the door or cried. He even accidentally ran into one of the staff members and she was so nice to him. They had things for different ages and abilities which is so amazing We had an outside emergency popped up before I had a chance to ask about passes, but I’m going to look into it when we go back soon cause my son is in love with this place. Really wish we could have made it to their grand opening, but we are going to be regulars for sure. I am so grateful for the staff and owners of WRTS Bristol! If we didn’t have a busy week this week we would have been back but we will be there next...
Read moreAbsolutely astonishing place especially for kids on the spectrum! We were gifted 2 free passes for Christmas and they were good for 2 hours which absolutely flew by we had such a good time. Big highlights were the ziplines which both of our kids did over and over and possibly even made some friends whilst helping bring the apparatuses back from the end points. The dress up options were amazing and included many Disney Princess outfits. I want to give a big kudos to the staff! Everyone was so friendly and even involved in the kids play and asking them questions and being so kind! The place was immaculately clean the staff would go very closely after the kids were done playing with things and wipe them down and reorganize them into their places. I could not be more thrilled that this place exists, even compared to other inside gym like locations in the Tri-Cities I would go back over any other. Their prices are very reasonable as well for 2 hours it’s $14 and if you bring multiple kids they are an additional $12 per. Thank you so much, we look forward to seeing you again in the...
