Happy Star Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Bristol

We had 3 meals plus egg rolls. I was not impressed or pleased! None of the family was "Happy" more like UnHappy! Most of Veggies were raw! I was amazed how soft (&small portioned) chicken in the Chicken & Broccoli was. The sauce tasted more like bland brown steak gravy. There was like 5 strips of chicken (maybe 4oz total), half rice & rest was broccoli. The Broccoli was NOT Cooked or Undercooked. IDK maybe they steamed chicken & flash fried 🥦? For 12$ I expected more chicken than broccoli! Tall about being cheap & stingy. Chicken is cheapest meat there is! I may have given extra stars if it had more meat. Uncle said his peas in fried rice were hard as a rock (uncooked or frozen?). There was no egg that I saw. I'm Not a fan of Yellow Rice! The rice wasn't fully cooked or hydrated. They are religious w/ onions in rice which wrre added in last (more undercooked veggies). When I ordered fried rice I expected white rice cooked w/ soy & rest of ingredients added in. Sad Chinese restraunt can't even fix fried rice! PS: get a rice cooker or 3. Uncle said he did not like S/S chicken it tasted awful. Wife said Gen Tso chicken wasn't hot just spicy. She chose hottest option. She said the shrimp sauce was good. It was about 2 tablespoons for $1.25!IMO tasted like sweet thousand island dressing. She ate less than I did and likely did not wanna complain. My uncle is seriously sick and elderly. I realize 'nese food varies by family but this was terrible! Egg rolls were terrible, microwave egg rolls would've been better. They were mushy without any recognizable veggies or meat. Looked like canned cat food inside and tasted like they steamed them. I don't know how any of this happens. Not fan of cheap sauce packets but they are free. I guess this is what DoorDash promotes? (Excluding 16$ in fees in forced tip) We paid 60$ ($45.xx Happy 🌟) for food that was awful! I would've been happier had they used frozen dinners. Someone does Not know how to cook or they just have low standards! I realize that I was quoted 30-45mins so actually COOK the Food in future! It got there in less than 30! I can't really complain that much as uncle paid for dinner. You can bet if chef or owner was given this they would not pay! Not had anything to eat all day so we ate what we could. I won't order from there ever again! TLDR: Take aka SAVE your money & go buy InnovAsian frozen meals from store! It is far superior & more affordable to what is flung out door here. I worked at nese restraunt for ~2yrs. I was shocked by this food. IDK how they are still in...

I have been ordering at this restaurant for years. However after today I will never again order from them. Let's start off with the fact my husband ordered the boneless ribs ($5.50) The person at the register checked off Spare ribs ($10.99). They were rude on the phone and danced their way out of providing compensation...with a lie. The girl says my husband wrote down Large spareribs and that is what he got. Then I told her to give me her cell number and I will send her a picture of the "boneless ribs he got and ordered. She then says no He ordered Large boneless ribs and that is what he got...lol First ..Let me add now that I have ordered the $5.50 boneless ribs and that is what I got! Second...My husband did not write anything down , he would not have been bothered, seeing that he had a written list from me. Third he read the list exactly as I wrote it because he KNEW there is only 1 size of Boneless Ribs on their menu. ...I will NOT Order food from this restaurant Again, because they replace Quality Customer Service with LIES, Dancing around the Truth, and allowed their 13 year old teenage daughter mouth off to me on the phone! I find ALL of that...

Today was the first time ordering here and my husband ordered general Taos chicken and a beef and broccoli.one for lunch and one to take with him for dinner at work. I ordered vegetable lo mein. We wait 15 minutes and the lady who took our order in person wasn't up front but a child and she only had two meals not 3. I open up the boxes in the parking lot and I got my vegetable lomein the only thing right iand athe other is beef and broccoli with hot sauce on it. I take the food back in and explain we were supposed to have 3 meals and what they were. Wait another 15 minutes with my food getting cold for the little girl to come out with an average beef and broccoli. How hard is it to get 3 lunch combinations. Worst experience ever. I left without a general Taos chicken which is my husband's favorite and them not understanding anything. Which if you have a 12 yr old running the front counter of course she won't understand. I will never have that frustration and eat...
