Ann's Palace — Attraction in Brockton

I had to give 1 star enough to post but no star from me This place use to be a furniture . Now it is being used to have events like parties as far as I know. Let’s just say the place is not set up to hold events . There’s only one bathroom it says men on the door which doesn’t close . Toilet does not work , no toilet paper no paper towel and a crack pipe on the floor on top of that it smells realllly bad ! When I brought my concerns to the one guy who claims he works there he raised his shoulders at me and did not thing about the condition of the bathroom. My guests left early cause of the bathroom , some ppl were going outside to pee and my 80 year old Granma whose birthday I was celebrating held her pee!!! There were electrical wires hanging from the ceiling , holes in the walls ...but at the end of the night I blame myself for allowing myself to be manipulated into using that place !! For the amount of $ i spent on this place even if it was rented for free .. i could not allow my friends and family to be placed in an unsafe condition.I WILL NOT BE FOOLED EVER AGAIN LIKE THAT .. I live pretty close to this place and saw it was being remodeled for quite a while and then it reopened. I stopped in around 9:30 pm on Saturday. The spot was empty but a friendly guy behind the bar served me a drink and said the bartenders would be in soon. I finished my drink and a very polite lady who I think was the owner served me another drink (Barbancourt rum & passion fruit juice). The bartenders were there and music (Haitian and afrobeats) was going by about 10:30 and the place started to get more lively. I had a few more drinks--hey it was Saturday---and took an order of Turkey Tassot to go. I can tell you the food was delicious! I'd never had Haitian fried turkey and it's now a new favorite. Do NOT I repeat do NOT book your event here. This place has so many violations. I threw a party here and it got shut down by the city before I even got a chance to arrive. Find out that she’s been given many warnings and ignored them all. This woman did not even have the decency to let me know that she was unable to host my event weeks in advance so I could’ve found another venue. Not even the common courtesy to apologize for what happened. I had out of state people come in for nothing! I felt completely robbed.
