On Saturday may 1st 2017, I visited your Owasso, OK location to purchase some pneumatic wheel casters. After installing them on Sunday May 2nd around 3:15 I successfully inflated 3 of the 4 tires. The 4th tire was defective. It was something as simple as a pinched tube. I went to the Broken Arrow, OK location because it is closer to my house. I brought the complete defective tire/caster with me for just a simple exchange for one in working condition. The clerk called over a woman by the name of Lisa.
Lisa informed me that all returns and exchanges required a receipt. I asked her if she could just call the other location to verify the purchase, rather than forcing me to drive 23 miles and about 30 minutes of my time for proof that I did in fact purchase a defective product. She told me that “they” are told from “high up” to enforce this policy of yours. She further explained to me that if she accepted this exchange she would be “written up”. So I drove the distance for a receipt, then drove to my residence and then back to the location to make a full refund of all 4 tires. If I am going to be treated like this, I do not want you to have my business.
When I did drive all the way back to Owasso, Jeanie was deeply apologetic for my inconvenience of dealing with this because I was sold a defective product and that I was being treated this way.
On my return visit to the Broken Arrow location Marie just glanced at the receipt and promptly gave me a full refund. She offered the receipt back to me, but I had already made a copy for my records.

Read moreUpdate: This particular Atwoods location continues to have problems. I ordered 3 bags of Southern Natural Feeds Layer pellets online yesterday morning. At 3:45 pm yesterday I received an email saying my order was ready for pickup. I went to pick up my order and had to wait for a really long time just to be told that they didn't have any of my order. They said they would refund me for all three bags. I got home and noticed that they had refunded me for only 1 bag. I called and ended up talking with a most rude and unpleasant girl who acted like I did something wrong! What the hell?!?! She told me that my refund would take 10-14 business days for their error and that if I didn't receive my refund, I would need to travel all the way back to them in person to get it!! Mind you, they easily and quickly refunded me for one bag the very same day!! Terrible customer service after giving me the run around and taking my money for a product they didn't even have in stock! This isn't the first time I've been treated this way at the BA location. I just really thought they'd get better and redeem themselves. Boy was I wrong!
There are some nice employees, but all the ones I get don't know what products the store carries verses what they don't carry. It does no good to ask. I've been told so many times that they don't carry products that they actually do carry! I would think Atwoods would want to resolve this problem because it must affect sales. Read moreAtwoods is probably one of the less well known "home and outdoors" (if you will) style department store retailers in our area... but certainly not falling inferior nor excelled by some of the more easily recognized competitors present. On the contrary, they boast a largely diverse stock(even live stock!!,)while maintaining a task/job- specific variety of merchandise in all departments ranging from high- quality apparel and footwear to delicious southern and midwest style snacks, to ranch operation staples and essentials including heavy machinery, not to mention outdoors equipment and hunting supplies. The gun department is also no sloucher and noteworthy of its impressive selection of rifles, shotguns, and handguns alike. The customer service representatives that regularly occupy the fairly sizable shopping floors and departments maintain the product displays well and extend knowledgeable, polite and friendly assistance to customers as needed without being bothersome or pushy. Always an exciting and enjoyable experience shopping here. My only sub-exemplary observation of the retailer is that the absence of a location inside the city of Tulsa itself might possibly be percieved as a less convenient option to some prospective patrons residing "inside the castle walls" so to speak, than their respective competitors. But 5 stars from me regardless....
