Ok so Santa Fe has been a family favorite for steaks as they have been well cooked and our service we have received has been commendable. I wish this was still the case. It is with a sad heart that I have to give this review but our most recent visit was a disaster. It was my Grandads Birthday Dinner. The service we received was extremely slow but thats understandable because our waitress had her hands full. My wife ordered the hamburger steak dinner WELL DONE, Grandad ordered the Sirloin Steak dinner MEDIUM WELL, and I ordered the 22oz T-Bone Steak dinner MEDIUM RARE. It seemed to take an unusually extended period of time to recieve our dinners and once it finally did arrive my wife's hamburger steak was raw in the middle, grandads Sirloin Steak came out rare, and my T-Bone steak was blue (blue meaning more raw than rare). We ended expressing our concerns to our waitress and she took my wife's meal back to have the cooks re work the steak to a well done state which ended up taking almost an hour. We had family comming from out of town so grandad and I went ahead and tried to eat our meals but were not enjoying much of it. Our waitress had the GM come to our table and when he did I told him it wasn't his fault for undercooked meals but since my wife ended up going hungry and my Grandad and I had to eat with unsatisfactory, that I was only willing to pay for our appetizer and 3 beers and that if Santa Fe could not honor that then I would not return. At that point the GM. ( Tony Harris ) became disgruntled and stormed off to fix our ticket and when he came back he confronted me with a very offensive and disrespectful manner in which he told me as a paying customer that I shouldn't threaten him. His mannerisms with this situation almost made me and my family just get up and walk out because it seemed as if the GM was lashing out at my family and I due to our request and I nor my family will not tolerate being confronted by a GM in an angry and offensive manner especially when this man did this well within my personal physical space and not from a respectful distance from where we were sitting.. He kept accusing me of threatening him, which I never did, and he did this to my family in front of all the other surrounding customers. This man was obviously under pressure and unfortunately that pressure came off on me and my family. I have thought about contacting a lawyer about this but I also don't want to be someone who is sue happy either. I never thought that a dinner would turn into a situation where I thought I may have to defend myself in a public place. I am a paying customer NOT A VERBAL PUNCHING BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was at the Broken Arrow Oklahoma location...
Read moreA plus was due to covid 19 they had every other table closed. That’s about the only thing I can say positive. Negative we’re the following -Was wiping only the back and frony of the menu. Not the inside at all. So how does that do anything. -Got seated and had to ask our table to get wiped down (it hadn’t been clean or if so not very well crumbs were still there plus drink rings from the glass of whomever was there before us). -when when we asked the lady she went up to where the were wiping the menus at the front and took their rag. And then came and wiped off our table. hmmm. Didn’t even use any sanitizer. Ugh. We almost left then. WE SHOULD HAVE!! -had to ask for our chip trio (waitress had for gotten) queso had so much fillers hardly any cheese) -waitress seemed more interested in taking care of a table of 6 then us table of 2. -had to get our waitress attention for Salt and pepper For refill of tea (and that was only once) Asked for our rolls 2 times. Oh yes. They had just came out Lololol. Instead of her bringing them to us in the first place. -ask for the manager on duty. We got the meat combo (sausage, chicken ribs). Oh my God. The ribs were so dry I didn’t enjoy. (We shared). Hubby had the chicken and sausage. Chicken was ok. He Ate 3/4 of the sausage because part of it was tough at one end. Ribs. I tried but they were very dry. Talked to manager. He stated let he take care of it Or he could give us more bbq sauce. Lololol. More bbq sauce isn’t going to help w dryness. But I stated no because hubbys wasn’t to bad and he had eaten all but the 1/4 of the sausage. However. The manager knew we weren’t happy. It would have nice for him to take some of it off due to the very very dry ribs. But nope. -the waitress knew we weren’t happy. She ask if she could give us drinks to go. I stated no because I had water. But hubby said yes. Yup. U guessed it we waited. I even went to the restroom and back. Still no to go tea so we left. *Not worth the $30.00. And yes we still left a $5.00 tip but shouldn’t have. Would have left a great tip if food was good and we had been waited on like we should have been instead of asking and to catch our waitress to ask. If the table had been cleaned properly. I hope the table of 6 had good food and left a bigger tip. And *NO WE...
Read moreMy family and I will never return to this restaurant. We have only ate at this place 3 times and each time it has gotten worse. The first time it was amazing, the second time I placed a Togo order of the salad that I got the first time and it was only 1/4th of the size that it was when we dined in. The third time 9/7/23 we had gone for our first wedding anniversary and to celebrate the birth of our brand new baby who was only 5 days old. We both ordered a medium rare steak (which I waited 9 month to be able to have) and potatoes. When our food came out both my husband and I noticed a huge hair sticking out from my potato before the plate was even placed on our table. After pointing it out the waiter took it back and brought me a new potato and the same steak. Then the waiter just left and never asked if our steaks were cooked properly, which they were both over cooked. After waiting 10 min for him to come back to bring it to his attention he took the steaks back and had new ones cooked. Another lady who I am assuming was the manager brought them back and had us cut into them and they were still over cooked but by this time it was almost closing time and we felt bad for being there so late we just ate them. We were trying to rush out so we weren’t there passed closing. We received our check and were very disgusted to find there was no discount even offered for their being a hair in the food. My husband went ahead and paid but when we got to the car my postpartum emotions got the best of me. My husband tried to then go back to talk with a manager about it but the doors were locked. He called and spoke with the manager who then told us because we paid cash they couldn’t issue us a refund but only a 10% comp card for out next visit. After explaining that at this point we do not want to come back she did not offer us any other type of compensation. I’m not asking for a 100% refund but to only be offered to cover the tax we paid, come on this is not how you run a business. Moral of the story, do not go here they do not do right by...
