Beautiful, restored old bank building that NETA has done an amazing job repurposing. They are seriously amazing at helping first time clients. Even if you've been smoking or vaping for years, you might not have lots of experience with concentrates or edibles for example, or maybe you're new entirely. Although the line can be long, my first time I was encouraged to ignore it and ask all of the questions that I had, and they had incredible suggestions on products to deal with different symptoms and good dosage recommendations. After showing your card twice to get inside (entrance is around back), you can either be 1. handed a "menu" listing what strains of flower, shatter, wax, edibles, etc. they have & wait in line with benches to talk to a cashier, or 2. you can look up their menu/current offerings online before and fill out an express sheet when you get there. You can hang out in chairs and couches until they call your name. **You cannot bring anyone who does not have a medical marijuana card or caregiver card.** You can also currently only buy 1/2 oz of flower at a time, although you can get edibles, lotions, etc on top of that. I suggest the Allay pain lotion for anyone who ever suffers from pretty much any kind of physical pain. Putting it on my temples helps head aches, abdomen helps period cramps, neck relieves muscle aching. It's crazy- I had no expectation for it to be such a borderline miracle product. Works on arthritis too!

Excellent venue - really cool setting. This place is in an old bank building and it is beautiful inside. The decor and architecture of the building is worth a visit. The parking in the surrounding areas is sparse, but there are several nearby lots that accept debit/credit at the parking space and are easy to find within a 500 foot radius. The crowd was heavy when I went but they move folks through there pretty fast. I was in and out in about 30 minutes from the time I parked the car, walked there, stood in line, got served, and got back in the car. BUT...make sure you pre-order online for quick service. If you show up wanting to shop, you may be there a while. Online selection is limited, but sufficient. Selections are about the same price level as other shops in the area. Most shops I went to were about the same. Very cool vibe and really nice people there. I will be back. I picked up a couple 300mg Durban Poison carts, 2 3/4g GTH prerolls, and some (1/8) Golden Lemon flower for $124 plus tax (20%).

This dispensary has quality products and good customer service. They also seem to have a wider variety of recreational items than some other dispensaries. I suggest that anyone who wants to visit go on their website to reserve your order. It makes it ten times faster than just showing up without reserving. There are separate waiting lines for people with reservations and people without. The reserved line had about 6 people in it and the non reserved line had at least ten times that many people. I had a reservation and only waited about 5 minutes to go into the store. Edit (10/19/19) : Last Friday I was going to head to NETA for some bud but they only had one strain for sale and they were limiting people to ONE GRAM, hardly worth the trip to Boston. Not sure why but if you're going here I would check their online menu first.

I walked in checked my ID when I got up the stairs I turned left and I stopped to put my ID away but on the left hand side where they say that it's medicinal there was a gentleman over there just watching me so I'm standing over there getting my money together now he's in front of me at another register and I'm looking around like why am I being followed in this store in this Bank in which I lived right across the street at 22 high Street for 15 years so when I got to the main register the same guy that followed me from the medicinal to the place where I was putting my money in my wallet and over to serve me he was extremely extremely condescending and a bit rude and overzealous because I do not smoke marijuana I was getting it for my girlfriend he was not helpful at all they were already three people over on the side for recreational this gentleman followed me from the medicinal counter and which I did not go to the counter where I was putting my money away he have it the pop-up right in my face there and I feel like I was being watched how can I be doing anything suspicious in that Brookline savings Bank that I knew it was a bank years ago so I went over to get the recreational and then he pops up over their get me out of line and says what you need what you need he was trying to show me the screen extremely fast because I was trying to remember the name of the flour my girlfriend liked he was going extremely fast on his screen trying for me not to see what I was looking for I don't know if that's theb Owners son or whatever have you but he does not deserve a job behind that counter treating African Americans the way he treated me there was a gentleman outside that told me he was kicked out of there for no reason but I'm going to stay on what happened to me I got another guy in the other guy was good and you got an African-American young man there that goes to Boston University who was a nice guy I believe his name is Johnny I just thought and felt like I was being profiled I had cash money to pay for anything I wanted in there I felt very awkward in that building once that guy who check your ID @ the front it went all downhill after that that gentleman seem like I was going to rob or steal something out of that store Neta is not I repeat is not the only cannabis dispensary in town that made me feel like we were back in the '60s I thought we were way way past that from all the blood sweat and tears that were spilled in the south however I believe that gentleman who profiled me literally and that store should not be handling customers the way he did me I don't know what you guys are going to do about it but like I said there are other dispensaries around Boston that have great prices like you guys do but I'd rather not go to neto because feel like a criminal or something because marijuana is legal he should I will come to the store to point him out because he was totally out of line, I appreciate hopefully your prompt attention on this matter and how much money we spend in your store like I said you guys aren't the only one I remember when y'all first open now the line is not a line so maybe you should look at your employees that are chasing people away and all people have to do is go left right around the corner Bing bang boom and then there's another dispensary I would like to think y'all would like to keep your customers happy as a person that's been in retail for 25 years from Walmart to Target, and Home Depot as a manager at those big box retail stores I and others made sure that the customer walked out happy and ready to do a u-turn to come back that gentleman did none of that for me or another gentleman that was waiting outside because they wouldn't let him in he had his ID and everything I don't know what he did but I'm not speaking on him too much I'm talking about how I was treated I hope somebody has a good answer for this particular...

Updating and downgrading my rating to three stars, as my final visit was quite disappointing product-wise. The setting and staff are all just fine. My issue is with DATED product. Clearly there's more Supply than Demand. Pehaps not specific just to NETA, but when I was attracted to shop at NETA via an email about "just about everything" is on sale the product I bought was SEVEN months since being "tested" Who knows when the plant was harvested. Why most units don't contain the most meaningful date, harvest date, is beyond me. Bottom line: Check the date of the product you're buying and if necessary, remember to bring your reading glasses; data font is rather small. Updating and improving my rating to four stars. Sales seem to be even more frequent and my experiences at the Brookline shop are typically very pleasant. With my last two purchases, the test and package dates were more close to the present compared to some prior buys that were six plus months dated (potency does decline with age).

Pros: Accessible via T (but I avoid evenings of Sox home games) Most of my interactions with staff have been favorable (I've shopped at NETA Brookline quite a few times) Wait time is non existent Cons: Still too expensive--prices have not dropped since day one; it seems as if ALL dispensaries are involved in PRICE FIXING... DATED product. For example, on multiple times the product I bought had been tested SIX MONTHS prior--what this product was doing between testing and being sold is beyond me, but I'm guessing NETA scoops up (cheaper) dated inventory from a grower. It's gotten to the point that I ask/look at the label and have reluctantly REJECTED some product due to its age.

The good news? NETA FREQUENTLY has sales. SO FREQUENT that I WILL NOT SHOP AT NETA UNLESS PRODUCT IS ON SALE. Given limited to nonexistent wait times, I'm guessing sales are down. What is the price elasticity of weed? Perhaps NOW is a good time to PERMANENTLY reduce prices.

All in all, this shop is fine, but expensive and often sells...

Defective products and hostile and deceptive customer service.

THEY MAKE IT A POINT TO SCAM OUT OF TOWNERS/PEOPLE WITH OUT OF STATE IDS. Do not come here if you are out of state.

I was sold a defective product(a thc pen). I initially waited hours in the sun and kept getting places in the back of the line. When I finally got my product I was only able to hit it 4 times before it began to not work.

When I returned to ask about replacing the product they gave me the run around. When I showed the defective pen to one employee they told me it could be replaced and asked me to wait in line. When I got there a tall light skin black guy claiming to be the assistant manager was extremely rude. When I told him my product was defective he stated verbatim “I’m the assistant manager and I don’t have time to deal with this” and tried to rush me out of the line. I believe he was lying because when I stood my ground and told him I bought this product yesterday and it didn’t work as advertised he consulted another employee and offered me a discount on another that they assured me would work. So instead of a replacement or refund they acknowledged it was defective and just tried to flip me for another sale.

I talked to the customer service who initially told me I would be eligible for a replacement when I came back . He heard all of this told me yeah some of these are defective and told me to come back to the store to get a refund or replacement. Then in the most unprofessional display I have ever seen, he called me back 20 min later to say he couldn’t give me a refund or replacement but offered me a 10% discount on the same product he just stated I should get a refund over.

They are sketchy and there are much more helpful dispensaries in Boston. I told this story to people who work at Sanctuary and other dispensaries in town and they were horrified at this level of crooked business.

I was only in Boston for a few days and this was the most sketchy part of my trip. Avoid them...
