My best friend had a party for her kids here and a huge part of her choice to book and pay that much money was contingent on the person she spoke with promising certain things were possible, including dairy free options for my kids who cannot have dairy. The exact person who was the booker of the party was there at the time of the party and he said there were no notes indicating a special need only to discover he was the one to make the promise. By this time my husband has been charged for our promised accomodations for ice cream (water ice) and the host had to come and ask why something she specifically used as the criteria of making their party plans there wasn't being fulfilled. They did refund his card but the issue was more the utter lack of listening. In fact, when they came back to offer to bring the ice cream out a conversation happened between the host and the employee where she reminded him we needed 2 to be water ice and he agreed that if I sent the kids to the counter they could pick their flavor, which was all before my husband was charged.
In addition, 3 children hurt themselves to the point of absolute tears. One was bleeding from a fall and there wasn't even an attempt to offer first aid or a bandaid. The other 2 were hurt in the same place in their play place where the giant support poles are simply everywhere and have exactly no soft padding at all. One of those was the birthday kid!
And as a cherry on top is that in the parking lot there was a distinct smell of cigarettes being smoked right outside the door, which given the state of the parking lot, I can believe people feel like that's the place to hang out and give children second hand smoking problems. Then a few dozen feet further the smell is pot instead due to another group gathered outside the children's sport center. For children.
I cannot emphasize enough that the whole place is not worth the money or time that I spent there, never mind the hundreds that went to the party itself. We had cheeseless pizza but there were cheese and pepperoni too and no one, no matter their diet, thought it was good and they flat refused to refill a pitcher of juice without charging again. The same amount of drink offered for their smaller party package. Also the upgraded package includes the same amount of tokens, so more kids but the tokens have to be spread out further, which anyone who has had kids there knows is a money pit. Their included gift bags, btw, include the cheap toys they charge tickets for. The actual same ones, not just similar. So even if you think this is a place to go, I would not consider their party packages worth the price or the inevitable injuries children will receive.
Oh, one last note, their play place is a separate charge. The whole place is a money grab of such...
Read moreWas there this past weekend for my grandson’s birthday party. This was the second year his party was held here. He had his 2nd birthday party at Vince’s last year and he couldn’t wait to have his 3rd birthday party here as well. I’m pretty sure he had a great time. What I love about Vince’s is all the memories I have from here….I started bringing my oldest son here to use the batting cages when he was in little league; my younger son followed in his big brother’s footsteps and played baseball too. So I spent many years of my boys going to Vince’s. Sometimes if I had the extra money and the weather was nice we’d throw in a game of putt-putt golf. I remember one time my youngest son was probably about 4 years old and we played a round of putt-putt. My son was a bit of a perfectionist and would get very mad if something wasn’t going the way he wanted, and well he’s was finding it difficult to hit the golf ball with the putter and have it go into the hole. Since his brother is six years older than him, they spent many years playing the same sports but on very different levels during the early years. He got so angry because he didn’t like the way his game was going and it only made it worse that his brother seemed to be doing so much better (of course it was all relative) with that anger starting to bubble over; he kicked the ball from the start of the hole. Well I don’t know how but that kick turned into a hole in one. He was thrilled, it didn’t matter what the final score was because that had made his and the rest of ours day! Now best of all the memories are the ones I’m making watching my sons with their kids at Vince’s. Always great customer service, games and activities for all ages at a very reasonable price compared to other...
Read moreWe visited Sunday afternoon for the first time in a long time. We enjoyed ourselves and the staff was super friendly and kind to our almost 2 year old (especially Jeff over where you cash in the tickets for prizes). He let my son pick his prizes and was patient. He used friendly language towards him, too.The gentleman at the snack bar with glasses and brown hair (did not catch his name)was nice ; he offered me tokens in a cup instead of letting the machine continuously shoot back my $5 bill. I didn't even have to ask. It has been years since I have been here but I enjoyed it as a little girl (many of the games like the bee one and the clown game were there when I was little). My son seemed to enjoy himself very much which is most important. As he gets older, we will get to enjoy the mini golf, batting cages and golf course, too. Overall, it was a fun and inexpensive time with...
