Oh, how quickly time passes! I can't help but reflect on my very first solo performance at the Civic Auditorium, a part of SFA Middle School. It was during my seventh-grade talent show, and I had the honor of performing Michael Jackson’s "Billie Jean." What a memorable moment that was! Over the years, I returned to that venue multiple times, each experience filling me with joy and nostalgia.
One of the most poignant performances was the year after Michael Jackson's passing. I took part in a Brazos Valley talent show hosted by our local radio station. The energy in the crowd was electric; there was a palpable sense of excitement and love for Michael Jackson that united everyone present. It was heartwarming to feel that deep connection with the audience, especially since I've been embraced as the local Michael Jackson tribute in our community for over 30 years.
I've had the privilege of performing across the country, from New York City to various stages back home in Texas. Each time I think of that venue, it stirs up so many cherished memories. I still vividly recall that last show, so inspiring, filled with incredible talent, and I was fortunate enough to win the title of Brazos Valley's number one talent. I truly hope to return and share my passion with that welcoming audience...
