Our stay was Nov. 3-5th. Confirm # 8854AAD366 *I have not responded to this survey until now. I wanted to give the hotel the opportunity to do the right thing. I am in sales and customer service. We checked into our room with no problem. We were awoken that night by someone trying to get into our room. This went on for a while. I finally called the front desk from my cell phone. I was told to open the door & ask them to stop. This was close to 1:00 am. NO! The front office did come get the individuals. We went back to sleep and were later awoken by a call from the front office letting us know they had in fact given our room to someone else and it was a computer error. No clue what time this call was. Upon check out I asked to speak to a manager about the late night disturbance as well as a screen shot I had from the Motel 6 website for a published rate of 64.99. The screen shot does include the date of our stay. I was told there was no one on the property that was authorized to handle my issue, that I would need to call back on Monday. During the next week I called multiple times and was always told the same thing, that know one was on the property who could handle my issue. Each time I called I specifically asked for Tejas Patel. The staff did inform me Mr. Patel had been given my information. On Saturday November 11th Mr. Patel did call me back. I presume this is because I stopped being as nice to the front desk staff and expressed my disappointment in my complaint not being addressed. Mr. Patel's call came in at 11:52 am on Saturday. I returned his call at 11:58am and left a voice mail that I would wait for his call. He never called me back. Therefore, I was forced to call him again. I called him yesterday Nov. 15th. He did take my call. After a lengthly discussion I was informed there is nothing he could do to compensate us for our late night wake up, the difference in our rate and the published rate or the fact that there is NO custom service in the fact that I was the one that had to repeatedly reach out to you company. He told me the employee had been written up and that was the best he could do about our disturbance. Mr. Patel later agreed to talk to the owner about my complaints. I received a voice mail from Mr. Patel this morning indicating they will provide me with a 15% discount on a future stay. I am extremely disappointed in how this process has been handled. I am hopeful I will receive communication from Motel...
Read moreMy recent stay at Motel 6 was a complete disaster, and I strongly urge others to avoid this property at all costs. On my last day, I discovered the room was a blatant health hazard. The roof was covered in mold and water damage, with visible black spots and dampness that posed a serious risk of respiratory issues. Loud neighbors had kept me awake all night, making rest impossible. Outside my window, a barbecue grill was set up dangerously close to the building, creating a fire hazard and filling my room with irritating smoke. The television was non-functional, offering no entertainment, and the front office reeked heavily of marijuana, suggesting an unsafe and unprofessional environment.
Motel 6’s reservation policy promises refunds for conditions posing health hazards or failing basic standards, yet they refused to honor this. When I reported these issues on my last day, I called the on-site manager, only to be yelled at aggressively over the phone. The manager dismissed my concerns with hostility, refusing any assistance or resolution, which turned an already intolerable situation into a humiliating ordeal. I contacted Booking.com, through which I booked, but they have failed to provide any resolution as of my departure.
These conditions—mold exposure, fire risks, sleeplessness, broken amenities, and unprofessional conduct—rendered the room uninhabitable, violating both implied habitability standards and Motel 6’s refund policy. The fact that I uncovered all this on my final day left me with no opportunity to seek alternative lodging, compounding the distress. Attached photos of the moldy ceiling, water-stained roof, and barbecue setup outside my window serve as undeniable proof. I am pursuing a chargeback due to the complete failure to deliver paid services, and I implore others to steer clear unless significant improvements are made.
Motel 6 must be held accountable for this egregious neglect...
Read moreOverall satisfied. The woman at front desk was only bad experience. While waiting in line to check in, she suddenly claimed that she had to leave as she had somewhere to be and said we all had to wait for shift change. Then when this shift change was finally over, there was a young man helping to check us in....she sat in his spot and he had to work around her while she loudly counted money from her register right in front of all of us. She then commanded the young man to hand her a pen....then an envelope...he had to stop helping us check in a couple of times to hand her the things she demanded from him. When we got in our room, there was a pile of dirt that had been swept into a pile but housekeeping had forgotten to sweep it into a dust pan and dispose before finishing cleaning the room. Completely understandable as I do the same thing at my own home all the time and understand it being accidentally overlooked. I called the front desk and a man came less than a minute later with a broom to sweep it up for us and was very nice and apologetic. Other than that, the room was very clean. The grounds were clean. The rest of the staff (other than the woman at front desk) were very professional and pleasant. Really, the only thing that brought my scores in this survey down was the encounter with the unprofessional woman during check in. Otherwise I would've given 10's on all of the survey. Next time we come down for an Aggies game, we will most likely stay there...
